Did I just hear the word "yeah" about 50 times? She is staying positive. This race and fantastic location was fun and refreshing for her. She was the only collegiate among the pro`s in that race and came in 7th out of 22. Go Katelyn.

And i hope people stops pressuring athletes yo their standards or believes. She is Wonderful runner and will have peaks and valleys on her career, She is no better than herself, only her can bo bette, as fans or critics just stop the unhealthy push on them, does not help and create unnecessary pressure, She is a Phenom in all sense, not a machine. i only expect to see her healthy and competing in her terms. Fans love this young lady, me included. Best wishes dear young lady.

It's clear she is very well balanced in her mind with all the variables in her life and what her goals are. She is going to be fine in the near future and long term with the usual ups and downs for a person on her chosen path. She's going to win a lot and lose occasionally. In other words, she is far beyond anything most of us, including most runners, could ever dream of. It's lonely on top of the mountain. That's why there's only room for one way up there. She is an inspiration to me.

Nobody wins every race. We learn more from our losses than our successes. Considering all the other runners in this event were pros and she came ahead of 15 of them is a win in my book. GO KATELYN!!!!!!

every runner knows that sometimes your body just doesn't have it on a certain day. the real top pros probably have a whole team working on trying to avoid this and making sure he or she peaks at the right time. but Tuohy doesn't have that luxury and it's the exact opposite for her as far as the super long season goes.

TK is awesome! Way too much pressure! School expectations, performance expectations and too early to try a double for her. Hope she rests and constructs a new strategy. Go KT!

Yeah (;^) the thing was she wasn't having those days until I guess it caught up with her at the NCAAs, then everyone's shocked that she's not exempt somehow. I still have my theory that she was drawing a straight line to making the national team which was (knowingly) a little too steep, now she can go back to a more patient progression and we see the results here.

Prediction: Katelyn will stay at school for cross and graduate in December/turn pro and sign with Adidas. Don’t think she’ll stick around for Spring semester

It's okay to try out your feminine side in the off-season. Just to get to know yourself better, and I would certainly be interested in your summer transition in that regard. Winning, they say, isn't everything. They are wrong. "America loves a winner, and will not tolerate a loser!" George C. Patton, WWII American General. I think that you totally agree with the General, and getting a new puppy is not a funeral notice. Get miles! FV

not quite fair, she's running collegiate and pro, only pro in this race. I'm guessing the seasons are not designed to sync perfectly eg the NCAAs followed by this event (when she should be resting up for X)

That's short sighted. She had a fantastic season. Had one off night in Austin. She just ran a 15:15 which would have won the NCAA final by 20 seconds. She finished 7th vs. 23 pros four or more years older than she. She's doing fine.
