(mind you Bryant had tried to lunge at someone else that was on the ground) He didn't shoot till he knew that the pink girls life was in danger. I guarantee the girl that had her life saved by the cop isn't calling the cop a murderer. Bad cops exist and police brutality is real but neither of those apply to this case. The cop did what he had to do to save someone's life. IT WAS JUSTIFIED.

Sad to say a protest in this case is ridiculous, the officer did his job, a police is there and you are rushing to stab someone sigh regardless if you called the police or not at that time you were not under threat. Also the comment that she is a kid, what was that supposed to mean? She was a kid about to cause grievous bodily harm. We need to stay focused this isn't a BLM matter.

@@CherryBlossomBlyue I can't argue that other methods may have been available but under the circumstances how applicable were they or realistic to be have been used, keep in mind the officer had a split second to protect the person that was not the aggressor from being harmed. Regarding the she is a kid comment, it was the intention of the statement somehow she tried to convey she is a kid so the officers should have done something differently, but my confusion is she was a threat and could have cause another to loose their life intentionally what does that have to do with being a kid? I'm honestly saddened that it happened but in this particular unfortunate case the shooting sad to say was justified.

Dont worry let her stab me a few times." You sure can handle it. That video took a split second to occur and with quick reflex of the officer, he saved a life. It could have been 2 girls dead instead. Why not use taser? By time he took the taser out, it still could be 1 girl dead still. But the dead girl being the one stabbed. This incident doesnt show a single bit of racism, i would consider this officer someone who did what he was trained to do. Not enough time to switch to pepper spray or a taser. If he tried switching to less lethal means, then the girl in pink could easily have had multiple stabs to her body. He had no other choice.

I know white people in MN who have been pulled over for expired tabs... it's not some crazy concept. I don't understand that point either. He should never have been shot. He also should never have tried to run from the cops (not that it makes it ok to shoot him, but the cop's reaction made it seem like an accident). But yeah... as far as tabs go, if they're expired, there is a good chance you'll get pulled over and ticketed. How else are they going to ticket you?

Im whiter than most people and I get pulled over for having mud on my license plate after a monsoon and driving down dirt roads. I thought the cop was nuts. I didnt fight it..whats the use? I did fight one ticket a few years ago, the cop flat out lied and I was able to prove it. The judge moved me and him into his chambers where he yelled at the cop for flat out lying. That really felt good.

I am ex police officer in Europe and we are trained to shoot in the leg first and then if attacker is still very agressive and have lethal weapon which could be used against us or other people we should shoot in the body so I can`t understand why police officers in America shoot in the body first. next focal point? Duante was wanted for a charge of armed robbery. The officers were aware of this and were at a heightened state. Duante fought free and tried to flee or perhaps grab a gun in the car for all they knew. Miss Gigglebox - His warrant was a misdemeanor, expired tags and speeding and there were no reason to shoot him. And he never should have been stopped for expired tags, should have been handle differently. You are very insensitive, what if this was your child? Would you make such a statement.

Who is pushing all of this hate forward? Pray to God for all of this evil to stop. If this fighting and killing does'nt stop then this will be worse than covid. How can God our Father heal this nation when His people will not ask him? Why give the police a chance to look up your records, take care of your tickets pay them, stop selling drugs, walk the narrow road as Jesus did be a good person and don't hide in the shadows of evil. A nice fight usually insinuates each having a knife. What happened here was one girl trying to stab another girl who hod no knife or any other weapon.

I have deep sympathy for the mother/family, but man, the cop told her to drop the knife, but she actually turns away and runs at the other kid with arm raised and about to **STAB** her so the cop literally had split second to shoot. He did so fast and accurate, sadly for the girl she is dead, but brought on by her own hand, the cop was just the instrument. There are no winners really except the other kid's life possibly having been saved, so you cannot say, 'Oh let her take one stab and see how this works out', no, cop did the right thing.

I live in England & a few years ago there was a young black lad who had literally whacked an Asian lad across the back with a metal pole. (The black lad was constantly in & out of trouble.) The Asian lad's family ended up attacking the black lad which resulted in his death. His mother came out with similar statements to this girls mum. "He was a nice lad, didn't hurt anyone. Would do anything for anyone." Because I live on the same estate, i couldn't say anything. But we all knew he was far from the compliments she gave him.

Some how the United States isn’t even in the top ten per capita of all the countries in the world in regards to gun violence resulting in deaths. I believe we are twelfth.

My thoughts are that Ex-Police Officer, Potter, needs to be prosecuted as it is charged for the murder of this young black man. The government is investigating Minneapolis for their policing policies. Every city & state should be investigated. Everytime an officer gets a complaint, they should make it law for them to do a report & send it to the the FBI or someone who can check on the complaints.

To all women it's time we have a talk. Our young ladies and gentlemen. Need to know there is so many things to do and learn. What makes me mad is what kind of example are we setting for them. We can start by sitting down and having dinner together. How was your day. Put the cell phone down and let's talk. I want to know what can we do to make tomorrow better than today. We triumph thru being law-abiding citizens. I rarely get pulled over. I drive a 2007 camry. I obey traffic laws. Rare ticket. Each person must be 100% accountable. The power is ours. George Floyd case was straight up murder but this Dante killing in my opinion was a huge mistake...accident. Think about it, Dante was being arrested for an outstanding warrant that needed to be taken care of then decided to flee which caused the cops adrenaline to heighten and then commit a huge mistake which should still deserve disciplinary action but most certainly not murder...personally I would have went to jail peacefully and take things up with the judge to eliminate the problem with my warrant like a sensible person.

Sad as it was..the officer had NO choice ,,..🧐🤔😞

@@beepboop7041 yeah and homie totally had a choice to stop and just take his punishment like a man and get handcuffed like a man but instead he chose to run away in a deadly manner willing to run over the police and got shot by the officer because of his actions regardless of any mix up deadly force was warranted and if you only see peoples color you are just as ignorant as any Caucasian sweetie. Oh yeah and he was still able to drive off like an "innocent" man right . He choose to die like a dog in the street because of his own actions you see.. Stupid actions result in stupid consequences 😒

It’s truly sad and unfortunate how a confrontation can go from bad to worse.... Why is it people involved in illegal activity would rather fight and resist when confronted by the law. Many would still be alive today, both Police and those illegal activity offenders that wouldn’t obey at all. It’s being responsible for our actions, not race, nationality, political affiliation or even the color of our skin. Police, Military and First Responders keep us safe, respecting these dedicated men and women is where it must begin.

Just because the victim is black, why do ppl see it as racism? Why are ppl still judging by color and not action ..

How do you give a him a ticket without pulling him over?
