KD’s not an Elite Lockdown defender but he’s definitely above average on perimeter and interior defense, if he wasn’t then teams would obviously try and run plays against him all the time, but they don’t. He’s alright on passing and rebounding.

Ratings aren’t just based on offensive skills, defensive abilities come into play as well. Players that are great both ways are more likely to have a higher overall

I have no problem with kawhi and Embiid both being 95. Embiid was 2nd in the MVP race. I don't even think kawhi was even contending so you can miss me with all that "in the playoffs when it mattered" junk since embiid was still putting up numbers, averaging 24.2 points a game in the post season.

What those players haven't accounted for is that the skill system has been tweaked quite a bit, for example the steal rating didn't work correctly last year, but yeah some players didn't get balanced right.

Morant should have a 99 in the 'almost dunk' category, but like an 80 at most on the 'Dunk' one. Giannis should definitively be a top 3

weren't overall ratings also based on positions? (at least in 2K16) so for example if your skill sets as SG is 95, then you switch your position to PF, your ratings might dropped to 90 coz low ratings on rebounds, block, low post D, etc.

What u need to understand about his is that every single year players get better and better so this would lead to the game evolving. Up and coming rookies would have to adapt to the changes. So 2k's decision to lower certain players' ratings is fair even though they are getting better. I do personally think KD and Steph are truly amazing and would I love to see them as 99 overalls, I don't think it would make sense to compare them to MJ and Lebron. With the sport of basketball evolving 2k has to rise their expectations of players in the coming seasons.

You really think the price of games is going up 10$ here but staying the same everywhere else? Absolutely not. Some of these guys are higher than the others because of the position and what they're good on both the offensive end and defensive end.

I think ppl & players forget that def. attributes affect overall rating. Step ya D up!!! Those Def attributes are pretty low for most complaining they should have a higher overall

Embiid is a center dawg and was up for MVP, and didn’t Kawhi blow a 3-1 lead to the nuggets tho “More Clutch” cause he made one game winning shot in game 7 like cmon now, Embiid was up for MVP, Kawahi averages more in stats like that bc he’s bringing the ball up, Embiid has the highest PPG per 36 in NBA history, we need some more common sense

Does 2K reflect player injuries and availability? Because Embiid and Leonard are always on the injury list. So they shouldn't rank so high....IMO

He was second In the MVP race last year, he went off In the Play-offs while injured, and even the stats you said about him were not true; he avg the same FG% as Kawhi (51,3 Embiid, 51,2 Kawhi). I don’t say it should be higher, but I think it is okay as it is, and if you think different, it’s perfect, but you have to look at the stats cause otherwise your arguments lose strength.

Thats why i only buy 2k when it cost 5$ or so. Lol
