​@OrionOodama NBA TV deal expires this season. NBC wants the NBA rights back and will bid March 9 but they have to bid in April a month after Disney (ABC/ESPN) & TNT. NBA on NBC might be back for 2025. Stay tuned.

People forget how athletic Dirk was in his prime. He literally must watch TV. Before him, you never saw a 4 that could rebound the ball and go coast to coast with it. IMO Dirk is the 2nd greatest PF to ever play only behind Timmy.

One of biggest Twolves mistakes was letting Billups go.

Seven years. That was the streak of 1st round ouster of KG's Wolves until finally advanced all the way to West Finals in 2004. Problem was, the next three (3) years was a streak of not making the Playoffs, until traded to Boston and won his first and only Title. That Joe Smith "secret" signing not only didn't paid off, it also cost them draft picks. IIRC, the Wolves resumed drafting in 2005.

Final year of the 1st round best of 5 era as every round became a best of 7 series the following season.

@@VMakNYC every smart men knows billups is not MVP . If he was better he would be hof . Wallace stopped Shaq, Prince held Kobe on 341%. And like my friend used to say you are deranged if u think Billups is all-star or good player because MVP was clearly given to guy who did nothing beside shooting.

Billups never led nba in any stats 5 teams kicked him out before he had luck to play in super +team surrounded by great defenders. KG cant make better a bust guy . Just liike Pistons won nothing vs LeBron when Wallace went to Bulls. If Billups is mvp he will be 75 goat or hof .

Bob Costas calling a Mavericks game on NBC was special. From 1991-2000, when the Mavs were one of the NBA's worst teams, you would rarely see them on NBC. If you did, it was usually "regional action," and even that was rare.

Jordan didn't even used to play against the Mavs lol. He would rest and let the rest of the Bulls beat the Mavs. Mavs were seen as a laughing stock. Cuban/Dirk changed all that.

@@warrioratthewall1969 I remember when Mark Cuban first bought the franchise. He was passionate about the team, often leading to him getting fined a shit load of money early on for criticizing officials, etc. Yet when he came in and saw the state of the team, he did everything in his power to upgrade facilities and all that stuff. Dirk, even after being drafted in '98, was booed by home crowds at first as he struggled, playing alongside guys like Michael Finley and even Dennis Rodman (Mark Cuban's first major stumble as an owner). Dirk got better and better every year since those dark days.

@@PIP...33 Providing space giving Nowitzki opportunity to play 1 on 1 or shoot wide open. Billups and Peeler cant stop anything on perimeter so when KG try to help on Finley and Nash who both are willing passers highest IQ guy, its just drive and kick out. Garnett defended 4 players here.
