I wouldn't call players who had career ending injuries as bust, especially Oden. They never even got to play enough to have their skills develop or to have a good analysis of their stats.

agreed. Injuries derailing careers are very different than guys failing to meet expectations because of work ethic, etc etc etc. Even if you do consider injuries... it's difficult to compare guys like Oden who played very little vs guys like Bowie who played a decade.

Big Country was not a bust. He averaged 16 pts and 8 boards per game in his first 3 seasons, and had a 41 pt game. Injuries and chronic back pain got him after that. He gave it up after 6 seasons. Can't say I blame him with fools calling him a bust. Hard for me to label these big men as busts. Their bodies are just far more prone to serious injuries that never heal, and that's not their fault.

Shawn bradley wasn't a bust he was drafted way too high. He played 1 year of college ball and then went on Mormon mission for 2 years. Other than blocking shots his one year was not really that memorable. I don't think he was expected to be an all star- he was a big gamble just because of his size. He should have been a late first round or 2nd round pick and his 12 year career would have been considered fine.

I wouldn't say Sam Bowie was a bust (averaged 11/8/2 and 2 blocks) nor was Shawn Bradley. For Oden and Adam Morrison (kinda) it's a bit tough to label them that way, their careers were just derailed by health issues. As much as I know, Hemofarm was competing in Adriatic league, and never have they played in Euroleague. Their most successful season was 05, WIHTOUT Miličić. Sure, everyone can play in ABA League, that doesn't make them good enough for Euroleague (Which is considered Europe by most of the Americans). Also, man, I know you're also Serbian probably (Since you know of Hemofarm, or you have watched a lot of Miličić highlights which wouldn't make sense at all) so there's no point in writing in English, but man please If you want to speak English, at least speak it right. Also, the video says, right now, at this very moment. He is 36 years old, haven't played a game of pro basketball since 2012, he couldn't play in Europe right now (Maybe in some contries like Latvia or smth), but in Euroleague? No chance. People around him obviously werent interested enough to show him the right track. I'll never agree that a career cut short by injuries is a "bust." Was Bo Jackson a "bust" in the NFL for being forced out of the league due to injury after four seasons? A "bust" is someone who squanders their opportunity, and/or fails to meet expectations, due to a lack of effort or an overvaluation of their abilities.
