I was kinda surprised a warning regarding the excessive micro transactions was missing from the before you buy video. I haven't bought 2K24 (despite buying every game since 2K16), but from what I heard you hardly get any bonus VC. Since you need about 450.000 VC and you het 1.000-1.200 VC you need to play about 5 full (NBA) seasons to max your player. Anything below an 85 overall is not viable online. I assume that you need to play about 200 games offline before you are able to play online, unless you are willing to spend a lot of your hard earned cash.

You don't even have enough time to enjoy the current version before they're already pumping out next year's version. All sports games should have a 2-3 year gap before putting out the next version. One year simply is not enough time to enjoy the game.

Just play NBA ERA you can create your own player or take control of any player you desire. You can can edit and or adjust any player you choose to play without micro transactions

NBA Live tried, I think back in 2018, but it wasn't the same NBA Live that we all remember. NBA Live is dead. NBA 2K took its place. NBA 2K is like Madden. Too powerful and too good of a game to have any real competition.

Full price++ AAA release, two tiered premium currency, two tier battle pass. I'm out. Tired of publicly traded gaming companies treating gamers like ATMs.

I used to be able to grind my career the old fashioned way but everything is so pushed towards online play that it’s pointless for me to even get the game. Don't play dumb, i've been a PC player since 2k14, and you know damn well the games are full of hackers. It might be like 40% of players. This is their fault. 2K doesn't want to invest in anti-cheat softwares, anti-cheat community teams, and that's understandable. If you don't like it, buy a PS5.

An insider for those considering buying the game. This year the game is expensive. It’s about 400,000 VC to complete a build. This is the equivalent of £100. Furthermore, there is the inclusion of season passes for rewards. The base pass is free however, there is the opportunity to upgrade your pass for £8.99. There is a further upgraded pass with 10 level skips for £17.99. The clothes in the game are also expensive. Everything I’ve seen is 10k-25k VC. Overall, I’d say the gameplay is worth it on next gen, there is more added features and whole new city however, It feels a lot harder to earn VC compared to other 2K titles. So yes it is possible to complete your build without purchasing VC however, this will take most people a long time. If anyone has any further questions about the game just ask me before you consider whether the game is right for you.

I'm so disappointed. I started plaing 2k from 2018 and 2k2024 i delited less than 24 ours from relis(((

I guess every year they spend extreme effort to convert a nice game to a nightmare .. The main purpose and ability of the game is lost in unnecessarily high amount of details. It is clear that even the designers were not able to properly gather those details via user friendly menus or interface. So much confusion because of the futile passion to create a very realistic game. I hope sports game master EA will re-consider making a word basketball game which also has NBA in it. Every time I see this "new gen" gameplay I am more and more disappointed on the graphics and lighting... Hoping the "old gen" PC version + mods will still look amazing.

They can't profit on PC releases, people on that platform actually have a brain to know VC is BS and bypassing them using mods lmao.
