what about the gameplay settings? NBA2K default has the modern era and 60 3s per game. Did you have to change any settings to mimic the way the game was played in the 90s?

I made a jordan era mynba and simed to 95 and took control of the expansion grizzlies, i just drafted kobe 1st pick in the 96

I'm stuck on ps4 but man I could spend hours on end rebuilding teams from the 80s on. The idea that Michael Jordan or LeBron James could have a chance to be busts while the lights shine on someone else to be the GOAT of your universe makes me want to jump to new gen. Any chance you could show off all of the league setup options? I don't know if they're copy and pasted from 2k22 but it would be cool to get a general grasp of how much you can edit at the start

On my nba eras Jordan peaked at a 94 ovr and wa drafted by the rockets. He somehow became a great 3 point shooter and maxed at 94 3pt and won his first title at the tail end of his career in 1995 with the Boston Celtics 😳 ik

I wish they would put a before/after for the floors, jerseys and logos. Logos and jerseys I probably know what they switched to but floors...little iffy

Assuming you can just customize the roster of every team basically and put them in whatever era you want? On current gen for my NBA

I definitely hope that they expand on this in the future don't just leave it where it's at and keep adding on to it which I could see him doing I could see a man hopefully the 60s 70s and 2010s

You can always control all teams and draft. Can also edit draft order.

That's sort of the idea isn't it? You can turn it off in the pause menu.

If you sim long enough does it turn into the kobe era can you go indefinitely?

You'd have to manually draft for all teams. Not all players are licensed so you'd need to edit the draft class to add those guys in who are created by the community. That's not my area of expertise.

I think they did a good job marketing this mode for hype, but should've went into more detail. For guys like me I love accuracy. Even though they don't have all of the players there's community creations for that. So that's not a problem. But with the teams not drafting correctly, there's no point to having the mode. It's now simply mynba input the old teams and just select fantasy draft to be on. 2k is definitely leaps ahead of competition so I hate to sound so picky, but I'm all about accuracy. So now I'll just be playing this mode to see each era. That's the best way to play with things as accurate as possible. Probably select 1 team for the 80's 90's and early 2000s. Realistically I wasn't going to go all they way through. I don't like to sim games.

But how is it accurate when you can't control the simmed game results? Why would the Bulls draft Jordan if they end up going to the '83 Finals, as an example? Why would a team who made a HUGE deadline trade in real life for a playoff push do the same if they're the worst team in your simulated league? I mean no disrespect, please understand, but I don't see the point in playing a game mode that just duplicates real life. We already have that... in real life!

Gotta respectfully disagree you are essentially entering these modes in the year they happened you can effectively change history if you are from Seattle and don’t want them to leave override it if you are a jazz fan who never got to see them win it all rewrite history if you want a fully authentic experience you can just user control all teams and draft how it happened in real life I think the selling point is what ifs and changing or rewriting history
