I’m currently playing madden 12, its the last good version of madden. It’s streets ahead of madden 24 and I actually want to play it rather than put it down after 5 minutes. Sports games are dead, and in my opinion, most gaming genres have been destroyed.

I’ve never liked my player myself sucks every one just stopped doing teamup for MyCareer I just like playing with REAL players different positions and from 2K13 on they kept adding old school teams was great playing those matchups

Every time I see 2K10's cover, I can't help but think, "Why does Kobe look like a white guy?" Am I the only one who noticed? I remember being a teenager and thinking this back when it came out.

​@@iamthurnis745 I've noticed that it looks MUCH worse in thumbnails and other small sizes (maybe because of downsizing/resampling), like under the description for this video, where it shows the box art. His faded hairline looks MUCH sharper, so he looks like a full-on receding hairline middle-aged white guy.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Todays 2k is hardsr to play atleast when it comes to jumpshootimg if u dont perfect release it its a brick like 95 percent of the time but back then it was more relaxed u could be slightly early or late ​@@FR0Z0NEkeys

The guy that makes these didn't know this was the first 2k with crew mode. Real OGs remember every year us asking for crew mode to return. This was the one that started everything lol. 7 foot tall guards with 99 speed. What wild times

and the 5v5 pick up park games. crazy how 11 only had the rooftop while 10 had mad different places to play.

This came out when I was in 8th grade and I was absolutely obsessed. I remember playing a full season with the Cavs. It was my first time playing every game of a season. I was hooked. There’s something about the presentation in this game that I will always cherish. I can’t describe it. But it just has that look. The menus, the replays, the stat line presentations pregame, the slam cam, etc etc etc. Also, so happy you mentioned the soundtrack. Nothing was better than hanging with friends, doing simmed seasons and listening to Electric Feel or In This City. Made us feel so cool

I still remember the commentary, lol. "He can't be stopped, he's having a party out there!"

I just wanna say as a 32 year old man seeing the sports game franchises I love and grew up playing due to the micro transaction gods I appreciate you for shining a light on the past when games sports games especially were made with love and passion miss those days 😢

2k10 is extremely underrated

I got the special edition with the locker. I still use it to hold my games. I remember the guy at Gamestop joking that Kobe came in the box... and he did! It came with a little Kobe figurine

I remember living with my mother in law and playing this every morning after my wife went off to work and just enjoying how good of a game this was. Simpler times.. Great video bro.

I remember when my sister bought this game, we both played this game for hours. The presentation was amazing along with the association mode!! It made me feel like I was actually watching NBA TV. It sucks that it’s not the same in today’s NBA game.

I’ve been putting so many hours into game lately. I have an association going with the Portland Trailblazers making a dynasty with Roy, Oden and Aldridge. I’ve played 41 games on 12 minute quarters on HOF. Gameplay is so much fun.

We were eatin' good in 2009 with sports games. 2K10 and Madden 10. Both two of the best and most underrated games in their respective franchises. With proper sliders you could make 2K10 feel and play amazing. And there was actual defense. I miss that.

NBA 2k10 was one of the few NBA 2k I ever had. I only have NBA 2k10, 2k11, 2k12, 2k14 and 2k16 and I always played MyCareer but I play MyCareer more on NBA 2k16

2K10 was the greatest basketball game to ever release. I remember playing my older cousins on it getting dragged every time. Turned me into a beast lol. The only 2K where I played 5+ seasons on franchise mode.

This is the best 2k ever it had everything even a good dunk contest

Loved the summer league and its realism, not sure why they took it out.

I just remember breaking down crying playing this game for the first time a few months since Kobe’s passing. This was a masterpiece😢😊

SoftDrink, appreciate all the talent and effort you put into your videos. Sports gaming still sorta has a shadow cast over it. I enjoy all game genres, for the most part, and sports games like 2K10, I put soooo many hours into and would have put even more back then if given the opportunity.

2k9 was great imo but my brother and I spent HOURS on this game. Didn’t even buy another 2k until 14 because this held us over. So nostalgic 😢

Nice video! Still had this game to this day! Also with NBA 2k11 the following year as well lol, I started playing alot of NBA 2k games back then and still do although the Modern era of NBA 2k wasn't great like it used to be.

2k9-2k16 is peak nba 2k in my opinion. they couldnt do any wrong in these years and every game kept getting better each year.

I discover 2K in NBA 2K9 and NBA 2K11 change my life. I stopped playing this 2K in Old Gen NBA 2K14. Came back NBA 2K23 and now. I Only play My Era Offline and its a Masterpiece.

This was and still is my favorite NBA 2K and i still play it.

I always go back to old 2k games but what I love that’s so different from playing 11 and 12 is the GRIND of my career, bruh it’s frustrating but also so rewarding once you get a nba contract

This was the first NBA 2k I played back in the day as it was for the PC. Had fond memories of this game from the features to the soundtracks, all top quality.

2k10 was way to easy, but the features aka the combine, training camp, summer league, was awesome. Paint scoring was way to easy.

I briefly played a demo of 2k8, but this was my first 2k. I got my wii for christmas and this was one of the games that came with it. i wasn’t big into basketball but this game started me down my fandom for the league and 2k…which is waned a lot over the past 12 years haha. hell of a game though.

I preferred this version of the Dunk contest mechanism to return. It truly felt like I’m trying to dunk and pull the trigger to finish it after imputing the button commands.

2k10 was my first 2k game. But i bought it late, and close to 2k11's release. MyPlayer was so much fun. I loved this game. It made me buy 2k11 as soon as it came out. I recently went back to try it again on PC, but I struggled with the controls since some of them have changed since then. But it was still just refreshing to hear the music and see the menus. I miss simple menus.

Still play it today. Madden 10 and 2k10 were a great time for me

I’ve been playing 2k10 on my playstation three lately. Made an athletic small forward, just a few hours ago I got back to back quadruple doubles with points assists rebounds steals. Game is one of the most fun 2Ks I’ve ever played!

I played the heck out of this game. I think I went through 3 full seasons with this one. That’s a lot for me…I still have it sitting on a shelf right now. I may pop it in my PS3 that I still keep hooked up. 👍

This game and madden 07 are my favorite sports games of all time I I understand how good 2k11 was but 2k10 still holds a very special place in my heart and I play it on my pc still to this day

One thing you left out about the soundtrack is.. you could also upload your own music that was stored on your system onto the game. At least I know for certain on X360 you could. I know today it's easy with Spotify and stuff but back then it was really cool to have your own music in the game. Idk if you already had a vid on it but also the 2K10 Combine/Demo game was also pretty cool. It basically introduced my career/myplayer.

Brah the reverse layups and euro steps with Tyreke and Manu was so OP but I loved it and the Magic was a cheat code

The first 2k I consciously played where I knew what I was doing, that situations mode was so lit I always used to take the game winners with Kobe, the my player is full of nostalgia too especially the homie 2k insider😂

This game was probably the most grind filled game I’ve ever played, but it felt accomplishing to do. From the Summer Camp to the Final Championship, everything was perfect. I remember using this route to go up for the layup, and it would work 95% of the time. Honestly, this game is really enjoyable if you want enjoyable gameplay without feeling “cheated”.

This is the game that started it all for me. My wife bought it for me as a Christmas gift that year and I've been playing 2K ever since!

I will forever be grateful for this game. I never once owned it, but I played the demo for it on the PS3 and was the first time I ever played an NBA 2k game. I liked it so much I got 2k11 when it came out. And man was I happy I did.

Me and my friends played this game way more than id like to admit. We'd always have little tournaments and see who "had the championship". I still remember going on a 17 game win streak with the terrible Warriors 😂

I was just listening to the soundtrack of this game and that alone makes it stand out. It was the last of the pre jordan 2k era and it really is ironic how 2k had kobe and live had dwight and 2k beat live 😅. It was one of my first 2k games and it was ahead of its time and has the foundation of 2k today so yes this game is definitely better than i remember and now i wanna get all the 2ks till 2k16 so it would be lovely to play it again with my younger brother and show him why these old games that were out before he was even alive why theyre special and what made those old games stand out instead of grinding literally months for a mid mypark character. This games graphics too still look very solid and has a different vibe compared to other 2ks. I miss old 2ks

This was my first 2k NBA game. I love it and always will. Even though 2k11 was amazing, it doesn't top 2k10 for me. I loved the into, the UI, the soundtrack. I loved that they released the draft combine game before the actual game that let you carry over your player to the main game (even though I couldnt play it). Hell of a game and sad to see where 2k has gone since then
