SHe got a raw deal and was discriminated due to her Aryan looks. Bhansal used orange, yellow, blue and grey lights/filters and colors to cancel brown skin , dravidian features of Indians and white red/ skin of white actors. White actors and Sanjeeda's looks look ghostly and blurry. The sam technique is used in many movies, Indian TV etc. Even Ambnai wedding and opening of Neeta Ambani art center was recorded with orange filters on. Gigi and all white guests along with Indians were made to look from the orange race. This is racism.

This is definitely the most underrated mujra in the entire show as like its character Waheeda. Waheeda is a woman who gets sidelined almost every time. This mujra and its poignant vocals portrays the grim reality of Waheeda, as she is always left humiliated, deflated, and desolated, and Sanjeeda Shaikh does it unwaveringly. 💚💜

For some reason idk why i always cracked on that scene "Bibbojan ruk" "Bibbo ruk" And the way sanjeeda run toward aditi after that is always hillarious to me like sibling fight😭😭🤣🤣🤣 any way love from Bangladesh 💖💖🇧🇩🇧🇩

Sanjeeda did a great job portraying her role.Her role was one of the most difficult . Btw i think her character was a very deep character but was not given a lot importance in the series. Her character deserves a true justice the series ended without resolving the inner tention between the twaifs. My personal opinion❤

There is more to come, perhaps her arc isn't anywhere near complete yet. Some characters also just have bad luck in life, and Waheeda seems to be one of them. In a way, her character is developing, in the sense of her attitude worsens as time goes on, and her humiliation and betrayal through time contributes to that massively. I do wish she had a better mujra song and experience, she's very beautiful, but it is what it is, the show offers so much as it is. Props to the girls they did a fantastic job each of them

She's just a wonderful actress, she definitely deserves much much more. SLB production should promote her more 😊

this was my personal favourite performance in the whole show. as a foreigner i was struck by the beauty of the lyrics, the music, the dance and the emotion ! i'm so glad i'm able to enjoy indian cinematography!

​@@rebacathek-popfan7950"Najariya ki Mari" Is a thumri recreated from the original one sung in the movie "Pakeezah" In 1972 as the whole series is influenced from Pakeezah and Mughal-e-Azam.Not everyone can understand the thumris and may find it odd.Here every "Najariya Ki Mari, Mari Mori Guiyan" Is portraying different emotion and meaning.

Sanjeeda did very well in series even though her role was very short because of sharmin and nepotism talented people got no good roles. Sad nepotism exist even now after sushant. But best of luck to all outsiders in bollywood to survive properly.

Just as she uttered her hopes of being with the Englishman, the carriage's jolt brought her to her knees, almost as an omen of yet another dejection that is to follow. The world of heeramandi is intent on foiling every single dream or plan she hatches, and she is marked out for such cruel circumstances.

The choreography is well thought out - the way Sanjeeda keeps turning to one side to hide the scar on her face, and also the hair left open both sides to hide the scar. Really going deep into the sadness and pain of Waheeda's character. We should have seen more dancing from her though. Sanjeeda actually dances well - they should have made her dance more.

Apart from Sanjeeda's excellence in acting and dance, we should appreciate the singer who did the proper justice to this wonderful song. Madhubanti Bagchi has just nailed it
