I'm so glad I was a teenager in the 70' s. Best decade of all. Style, music, movies etc

It is the best decade and I’m from the 90’s. I wish I had been born in the 70’s because the music was the best and then they didn’t have the equipment they do now. They actually had to have talent in the 70’s. The people even seemed to be happier then.

Don’t get me wrong the 90s was alright but the 70s beat the 90s in music. Also the 70s wasn’t as chaotic. I mean school shootings began in the 90s and that says a lot about how messed up the kids were.

  • @bigcountry816

@@jessicachilders7287 I agree. I am from Arkansas and remember quit well the Jonesboro middle school shooting in '98 then Columbine in '99. I still think the 90's and early 2000's produced some good music definitely better than the shit that is coming out now days. My mom and dad grew up in the 60's and 70's and loved it too. They talk about how much better it was then. I think we all reminisce about the times we had when we were younger.

  • @jessicachilders7287

@@bigcountry816 I definitely reminisce about the 90s myself. My teen years were definitely some interesting years. I think music took on a lot of changes in the 90s some for the good and some not. But the reason I like the 70s so much is because they really had to be talented they didn’t have the electronics that they do now to make them sound good. Not just the singers but the musicians also had to be talented. If you go to a concert now pay attention that they never sound the same as the studio versions. Music in the 90s was by all means better than today. Every decade it seems music gets worse. I’m very open to all genres and music period but it’s very rare to find stuff I like today.

RIP Dan McCafferty (lead singer) and Manny Charlton (lead guitarist) who both passed away recently (Dan in November and Manny in July). Nazareth formed in 1968 and have been performing and recording since then. Dan's singing was inspired by primarily Little Richard. He went on to create his own form of screaming, raspy sound that inspired numerous 70s and 80s hard rock and heavy metal singers bands, including giants like AC/DC and Guns N Roses. Listen to Dan shred on uptempo rockers like This Flight Tonight, Bad Bad Boy, Telegram, and don't miss the timeless rock ballad Dream On. Long live Rock N Roll!!!!

The songs I heard going up stirred your soul. Even today I can hear those songs and it will take me back to the first time I heard it what I was doing where I was at and how it made me feel. Music is wonderful and healing when you listen to those classics. God bless

I’m 61, my sons 20. He gets the older music’s vibe like you do. What I think separates it from the 50s to today’s music is back then, musicians were crafting tunes in unchartered water. There wasn’t a formula to follow. It was about creating rather than imitating and simple tweeting something that we’ve heard before. Great songs are timeless and revered across all genres.

Dude, I'm a couple of years older than you but I've been listening to a lot of the music you react to for decades thanks to my older siblings and parents. Good music is timeless, for sure. It's awesome to see you react for the first time to music I've loved for years and years because you keep it real and really allow the music to reach you.

I love you videos cuz I get to see all kinds of stuff that I've never had exposure to before and you have a real talent for identifying and commenting on good music regardless of the genre. This was their first big hit and the first radio station in the country to ever play this song (as the story goes) was KAYC AM in Beaumont, TX. There were listeners in the area that began requesting this from FM stations in Houston and it took off from there. At the height of their fame Nazareth came and played a "Thank You" concert at the tiny 2500 seat Beaumont Civic Auditorium with Styx as the warmup band. I was on the first row and it was awesome. Now, sir, would you please react to "Neither One Of Us" by Gladys Knight and the Pips? I would greatly appreciate it and I think a lot of your audience would as well. Thank you.

That's a good observation, I was thinking of where this song ranks in my all time favorite rock love songs and I still have to put Fleetwood mac Silver Springs and Led Zeppelin Thank you and even Scorpions Still Loving you ahead of it, but not because is inferior is just different this is easily the best love song of all time but not the most romantic is more like the best song of all time for those that get their heart broken by an ex girlfriend or boyfriend I experience the pain and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone, is like stupid love, you love someone that doesn't love you back very similar to when a man loves a woman, that is straight out stupid love.
