El Salvador continues to gain travelers’ attention and we are so here for it! It is such a beautiful country and continues to be highly underrated as a destination. In this week’s episode we visit the famous NAWi Beach House in Mizata. This is definitely the “It Place” to visit, proof is in all the travel influencers sharing it on social media.
What drew us to wanting to visit? For me it was the opportunity to do horse back riding on the beach… more on that in just a sec. If you’ve been watching our series you know we did not rent a car, and instead chose to travel via Uber. Next time I would definitely rent a car, but I’ll tell you Uber was super affordable and reliable. Ride was about an hour and a half from San Salvador.
We booked a day pass which gave us access to the entire beach house: infinity edge pool, jungle gym, oceanfront restaurant, VIP lounge, suspended net, live music on select weekends and semi private beach. You also get a welcome craft cocktail. We paid $35 USD for the Couple’s Day Pass - 12 hours. That also included the horseback ride at the beach.
We ended up staying about 3 hours. Booking the horseback ride was not clear or easy to do while reserving the day pass and the first available time the day we were there was 4pm. We arrived at 9:30am. Service was quite slow. If you are not staying all day the cost of transportation, breakfast onsite, additional drinks and day pass makes it for a very expensive adventure in El Salvador considering there are so many other options. Especially without the horseback ride. Our vibe is more of explorer versus just chill all day so that affected our opinion. Glad we saw Mizata beach, just not sure we’d visit again for just a few hours.
