i hope you are not saying everyone who can surpass the minimum requirements can be a seal because it takes alot more than physical ability to be a part of such a group. during certain assesments they are looking for a certain quality in an individual such as mental toughness , tenacity knowing a you will not quit when the going gets tough . when a person is always first in running or anything physical which is great, but what happens when things get tough is his character can allow him to quit

Not really, depending on how you work out can depend on what kind of body you have. Body builders mainly do strength exercises giving them increased muscle mass. With alot of cardio and easy weight lifting (Like pushups and situps) you will have a smaller frame, built for endurance. Think about Bruce Lee, one of the fastest and strongest men alive and he had a very small build, because all he did were pushups and situps. And he could still punch a 100 pound bag and make it hit the ceiling.
@AnkurSingh-jf3rw
Жыл бұрын
bro sorry for replying so early but just think if u do the optimal way you are going to develop the body and chest strength with pushups there are many other exercises for cardio and bruce lee could do full rep of pushups with 2 fingers

SEALs do not require large muscles and incredible strength. They require endurance and mental toughness with suitable strength. They don't train for 4 years, if they gain girth it is from their own physical training on the side. Also, there is only ONE Special Forces, that is the US Army Special Forces (Green Beret), all other fields (Delta, SEAL, PJ, CCT, SWCC, Ranger, etc.) are Special Operations and fall under SOCOM. Dont tell an SOF they are Special Forces unless they are a Green Beret.

@Justin Y The RobberThe base fitness requirements aren't secret. Spetsnaz Alpha Group (Tier 1), I would say, has the hardest requirements because of the additional requirement of a minimum 30 dips. You don't touch the ground, because when you do it the muscles are relaxing, even for a fraction of a second and that doesn't help you working your muscles properly. On buds 234 none of them were doing push ups like that and when I was at basic training I was the only one doing push ups like that Haha. None of them got even close to touching the ground. I keep my feet together tho.
Yeah, because I thought it said 1st-Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta.. I know they don't do what the other SF operators do, that's for sure.
I'm sure this is how you have to do it here. But to get a better exercise out of it, stop right before you straighten you elbows. And just lightly touch the ground. That way you get 0% rest while doing so, and the exercises intensifies.
WARCOM spies on me😅 Cousin Admiral Mavis ❤
@thelola061 hes actually doing it perfectly rite.
@LETSD0THIS Nice, keep going!
i hope you are not saying everyone who can surpass the minimum requirements can be a seal because it takes alot more than physical ability to be a part of such a group. during certain assesments they are looking for a certain quality in an individual such as mental toughness , tenacity knowing a you will not quit when the going gets tough . when a person is always first in running or anything physical which is great, but what happens when things get tough is his character can allow him to quit
Technically yes, but there is a bunch of controversy behind that because they have a whole different way of recruiting, they tend to fall directly under JSOC from my understanding too, soooo yes and no.
Does anybody really do them all the way to the ground or is this just an ideal standard
anyone with any kind of physical ability can pass the minimum, but like any other kind of requirements for some kind of selection in any group will say minimum that , but if you go there thinking doing the minimum requirements is good enough you will be in for a big surprise.
I'm American I gotta hand it to the Canadians they got really good Snipers

@thelola061 You can have your legs up to twelve inches apart. So, no, he is not doing it wrong.
Nice
I have a question. Its it true that Experimental vaccines and Depleted Uranium are nutritious.
I just realized that I'm doing my pushups with hands way lower on the torso. Now I'm wondering, even though it's harder, am I sacrificing my chest gains and putting it all into the triceps?

I hope someone can answer this 1 can u do 50 push ups rest and do another 50 or do you need to do it in 1 time 2 i have no swimming pool and i dont have the momey to sign up for swimlessens etc does someone have some advice
@303ranger yeah man, Furlong did the deed during Anaconda in Shah-i-Kot for shizzle. A fkn mile and a half on a non static target! Gave that fker one hell of a gut ache.
And he could still punch a 100 pound bag and make it hit the ceiling.

bro sorry for replying so early but just think if u do the optimal way you are going to develop the body and chest strength with pushups there are many other exercises for cardio and bruce lee could do full rep of pushups with 2 fingers
I got DNF’d for my chest touching the floor slightly.
Hey there, have you considered MUSCleader (look on Google)? There you can watch a good free video explaining the way to develop noteworthy muscle easily whilst losing excess fat simultaneously. Fabian or many other guys like him enjoyed great success making use of this technique. Perhaps it will work for you also.
Did he say podcast?... This was 12 years ago right?

don't both feet gotta touch?
@merkturd85 ok you know what I'm sorry I completely misinterpreted your comment since you don't hear comments. Im sorry man I thought you were like those people who keep trash talking about which country is better. I'm sorry man
SEALs do not require large muscles and incredible strength. Dont tell an SOF they are Special Forces unless they are a Green Beret.
can i apply if im in an online high school
But isn't the 1st-SFOD-D technically Special Forces still?
Is this Mike Caviston?!

I think the only difference between Delta and normal SF units is that they either wear sanitized combat gear, or PMC-style combat wear, and that they get to wear beards.
I was just curious if you know about the training program for the Canadian special forces, specifically JTF-2. Also what would be the most efficient way to increase running time because the minimum requirement is 1.5 miles in under 9:45.

@Justin Y The RobberThe base fitness requirements aren't secret. Spetsnaz Alpha Group (Tier 1), I would say, has the hardest requirements because of the additional requirement of a minimum 30 dips. I do dips and they're crazy-intense. But I'd only say their total requirements are a hair above GIGN. Of course there are plenty of physical and mental endurance requirements we don't hear about, but for a basic idea.... *Russian Spetsnaz - Alpha Group:* Push-ups: 90 pass, 100 good, 110 great, 120 gold Sit-ups: 90 pass, 100 good, 110 great, 120 gold Chin-ups: 25 pass, 28 good, 30 great, 38 gold Dips: 30 pass, 40 good, 50 great, 60 gold 3 Km run: 10:30 pass, 10:00 min, 9:45 great, 9:30 gold *French GIGN:* (only has a pass/fail requirement) Push-ups: 100 pass Sit-ups: 300 pass Chin-ups: 25 pass 8 Km run/minutes: 60:00 5 meter rope climb without use of legs 100 meter swim: 2:00 minutes Free diving: 50 meters Swim 50 meters with hands & feet tied Parkour course
@thelola061 he's doing it right
@Asoccerman123 I agree
how's the debt going?
Im pretty sure he cannot beat Goggins in push ups.
@SGCBallistic the canadian economy is doing much better than the US though.
Is that a fact or just what you think?
You don't touch the ground, because when you do it the muscles are relaxing, even for a fraction of a second and that doesn't help you working your muscles properly. You stop a few millimeters above ground, but never touch it.I used to do it chest to the ground when I was younger, but then somebody told me to try it this way and the difference was enormous.
@Asoccerman123 really? could have sworn its by people who cant take a joke, obviously you dont have a brother, because they tend to mess with eachother a little.
This guy must be in the seals or something. XD

Hello there, have you heard about "Musclegion" (do a Google search for it)? There you will find a great free video featuring the best way to build up noticeable lean muscle really fast. It made it easier for Ryan to break through his bodybuilding plateau and therefore develop toned lean body mass free of fat very fast. Perhaps it will help you also.
@SGCBallistic hey man Canada and America are allies. We have eachothers back no matter what so no need to start a war. Canada isnt a joke. Joint Task Force 2 Or JTF2 is an elite Canadian counter-terrorism force, like the U.S Navy Seals. So chill man Canada and America are two equally great countries
A frogman with glasses ?
@SGCBallistic That's not really a good thing to say. We the U.S. and Canada are allied with eachother so it would be a shame if you actually start hating on them. The last thing we need is perhaps another country to hate on us.
Whether or not the SEAL/s are "better" than JTF2, we aren't 700,000,000,000$+ in debt, so our military budget won't be cut anytime soon. You on the other hand.....
I can do 84 consistent reps back straight right core 2 inch block from the ground
