Scott Baker they sure do. It seems with what the Navajo people went thru helping in the War with the Din'e bizaad "navajo language" that some how the Nation would be paid back, after all the War wouldn't had been won. And they weren't even recognized for it until years ago. And there still in poverty.

We're the Shoshone-Paiute tribes, our Reservation is small located on the ID/NV stateline. We've also lost some of our precious Ppl, families to the virus, but not as much as most tribes have lost. The virus didn't spread to our Reservation as fast as others but within time, this yr many became sick n were able to overcome it. My thoughts n prayers are with all of our Native American Ppl n others, many blessings to u all*

I'm full blooded Native American from the Kiowa Tribe and I thank you so so so so much for helping our Navajo nation during this crisis. This is so appreciated and I thank you again for your support. Unfortunately not many people in USA know about the poverty that Native Americans live in but through this, I hope it will open people's eyes to see that, even though there are less fortunate people in other countries throughout the world. WE DO have third world country in our back yard with how Native Americans live on reservations. They call us no good alcoholics, but when you take away our roaming ways and land to do so and introduce alcohol, and then corral us into reservations, it doesn't surprise me the amount of poverty and alcoholism that runs rampant in our communities.

People/society outside of the reservations are so misinformed about the plight of the Fist People. Either they don't want to be reminded of what was/is continuing to be done to these ppl and their cultures OR they live in denial and say it doesn't happpen. It happens and is a travesty against humanity. Jason is an amazing human who does as much as he alone is able to do, to draw attention to these discrepancies. @@XDKITSUNE exactly what mistakes did these people make? Choosing to remain on their native lands rather than abandon it? Yes there is supposedly government assistance for native americans as it is for various people but the government and the organizations set up to distribute the aid make it damn hard to get it and that's not just for native americans, native americans just have it worse. The government could help in developing these lands. Make them more livable. Provide electricity and running water. Things can be done to upgrade these lands but the government doesn't give a shit! We are a people that the government tried to wipe from the face of the planet. Killing us wasn't enough no they had to try to wipe out our culture as a whole and are still trying to wipe us out. They wanted to wipe us out by forcing us to abandon our culture and be what they felt was "civilized" and right and when that didn't work it went straight to trying to get rid of us. It's still happening. By refusing to develop these lands they are trying to get native americans to abandon it and move to mainstream areas...then what do you think the government will do once natives leave the land?...DEVELOP IT, and turn it into resort areas yet they can't be bothered to do it for the people who live there so they can live normally. Any other area with a large amount of people living there would be developed to accommodate the people. American government is so willing to go into other countries and develop areas of poverty to make life better for the people, but they won't do it in their own country for their own people. Native Americans are the first and true Americans of this country, and they deserve to be treated fairly. This government owes my people a damn lot after what they did to us. And I don't care how you take my opinion the truth is the ever lovin damn truth!

@@XDKITSUNE It's not as simple as all that. There are those who have the money and the means to do what they do and those who do not. Not every tribe owns a casino and many natives are living in undeveloped areas with no electricity or running water. They are not able to set up electricity on their own or running water and plumbing be for real. It takes a lot to properly develop an area and these people often steeped in poverty are not able to do it on their own.

From 1976 thru 2000 we had shops in carefree, Scottsdale Arizona, west Yellowstone and Bozeman Montana also Jackson Wyoming. We carried work by Navajo artists because we were lucky enough to work with some of the nicest people in the world. Still miss a few of them that have passes away. Foster Yazzie was the Navajo Marlboro man. He drove a 1980s black trans am with T tops and a black cowboy hat. One of the best looking men i have ever seen. RIP Yá’át’ééh

Imagine a state the size of West Virginia and only having 3 grocery stores that cater to 500,000 people. Then border towns catering to thier own town and then those that commute into said town.

Thank you Jason Mamoa✨🙏🏼😊💖 My moms side of the family live in a harsh part of the reservation and has no running water and they recently have gotten electricity service.. I have lived on and off there but I know it takes an hour or more just to go to a grocery store. Sadly I have lost my grandpa to the virus but thank you this means so much to them especially our elderly ✨🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thank you, Jason. It's amazing that the Navajo and Hopi Nations do not have running water...yet we have Las Vegas that has plenty. The water rights and politics need to change in the South West so ALL have access to clean, running water.
