Report him for unsportsmanlike behavior and include link to the video. If he has done it to you he has probably done it to a newbie dozens of times and chased people away from the Fallout community. He is toxic and should get the heat.

I had a low level player drop me some loot after giving him a lot of weapons and chems but I noticed he dropped a glowing mask and me already having one I had to return it and inform the player of what they have ! I won’t accept loot from low levels either way

Always use a verified courier! Also, check the scam list!

Here’s the thing about getting scammed in this game, you lose some generally useless in game gear, they gain the mark of being a scum bag. So, I don’t think you’re dumb for getting scammed, but you might be a little dumb for putting down the file cabinet when the trash can was right there. 😂 😉

I watch your channel and have a lot of respect for you as a gamer and content creator. I am sorry to see someone has taken advantage of your good will towards others. I play as a good gal of the Wasteland and always try to help others. It frustrates me to run into people like this guy who have no integrity and ruin the experience. Keep being a good guy because there are good people that appreciate it. 😊

For me, It's just a game. If someone likes my weapons or armor I just offer to build it for them & don't expect compensation. I hate the run & fetch of "Meat Week" & "Fasnacht". They are pointless & a waste of time. If someone dies outside of an event I guard their goods until they respawn, I take nothing I didn't earn. Dropping repeat masks is a ridiculous waste of time. There should be a point system where each mask has a certain value & at the end of 2 weeks you redeem those points to acquire a rare mask. That would ensure participation & keep the event worthwhile.

This is why there are vetted go-betweens on trade sites.

This is why I have been so skeptical about trading in this game and haven't done it yet. They really just need to update the trade interface to make it actually usable. Both parties can select the items and have to agree on it before the trade goes through. I don't know why this hasn't been done yet. Hopefully someday.

What gets me is that you KNEW it was a bad idea. You KNEW it and you still dropped first. You got farmed bro. Sucks but scumbags like this are all over the place. Props for you putting it out there so that others may learn from your mistake.

I know…it’s literally my character tho. I’m too trusting, in game and real life. I alwyas want to assume that people will be honest, but it ain’t always the case (actually, it’s rarely the case) At the end of the day tho, it’s just an in game item, but yes! I hope others learn from my mistakes! Fuck everyone and don’t trade! 🤣🤣🤙🏻

I’m a newer player and I do not trade at all.

I was trying to figure out how to do a trade and the thought of being scammed stopped me dead. I can't even do PVP and if I accidentally take someone's dropped loot I would follow them around for 45 minutes trying to give it back. I have several doubles and triples now but still want to get what I don't have.. but I don't want it that much. I think the only way I could do a trade is by doing it through my vender and his/hers.

Edit: I increased my resolution. Lol, nevermind. Sorry that happened Nav. Ppl like him got no character. Good for you for keeping hope in folks. Just be a little more cautious next time.

Its a shame some people don't have any integrity , even on a silly fictional game. I had a guy do the same thing the first time i tried a "dropped loot" trade. I would recommend to all new and vet players to NEVER drop loot on the ground, especially if it is a rare coveted item that is not easily replaceable. There are def good folks that will honestly trade with you but always going to be scammy scum out there in the wasteland.

Glowing SBQ mask!

Sucks this happened, i feel your pain. I traded a loon mask for a glowing queen and we did it in a private session. To ensure neither party got screwed over we put our masks in our vendors for 40k caps then fast traveled to the other persons camp. He had almost 40k caps to begin with so i bought something random to get him to 40k once he was at my camp. He bought mine then i immediately bought his. I lost out on caps but it was the only thing i could come up with to ensure fair trading. Hope this helps with future trades.

The one thing that I learned from this game when it comes to trading is that some people will take advantage of your kindness. I’ve been lucky enough to avoid scenarios like these, but I’m always skeptical when it comes to trading ever since I first started

Got scammed out of my demon, Brahmin, Raven and 40k caps for a Glowing BD mask. He put up a regular one and dipped.

I've always been very dubious of the trading "system" in this game, as I couldn't see how you could prevent someone from scamming you... Guess I was right to be dubious. Guess I'll carry on just gifting anything I don't want to new players, then. Damned if I'm going to give anyone the opportunity to feel like they've got one over me simply because they're the bigger arsehole.

I think the trade window only lets you trade for caps. These guys wanted to trade items for items, which you can’t do with the built in trade system.

You literially can click on any item in that menu that shows what the person has and "request" it you don't have to make it 0 caps or anything, the person has that option but if you 2 are trading you can literally trade. The system works people just don't know how to use it.

Why don't you use your platform to make a stink about this. Bethesda needs to fix the trading and selling system. It's unacceptable that they demand money from us but do bare minimum with this game. Put them on blast. Spam this video on all their socials.
