So, here’s what he is saying: he had grudges against Shoaib because of other things Shoaib did (allegedly by Noman). Those grudges came out on a live TV show. That alone makes him unfit as a TV host by his own admission. Now, he’s apologizing on TV (note: not at a personal level to Shoaib) after 3 weeks - rather, after realizing his career would end. He agreed to solve the issue at the time it happened by calling it a prank, but wasn’t willing to apologize just because he think he is so important for PTV that they cannot let him go (=arrogance). In fact, He didn’t even bother to apologize after the incident for three weeks. He never even tried to contact Shoaib til now (by his own admission). On top, he is now trying to paint a bad picture of Shoaib by pointing out other irreverent things. Even if Shoaib broke every single legal agreement with PTV, Noman still had no right to behave like he did. PERIOD. In short: Noman is trying his best to save his job + paint a bad picture of Shoaib and gain people’s sympathy and to justifying his behavior. Fact of the matter is, if he had done what he did in any country of the world - his career would end in media as a TV host. Same should happen here. No ifs and buts.

You are the first person who has written some points logically. Noman is just trying to gain sympathies. I am sure, PTV is a bureaucratic organization, it will either terminate his services or put him as an OSD for the rest of his career!

watch the whole video guys. it was Shoaib who was being rude and trying to insult Nauman Niaz. He was trying to show him incompetent and unprofessional. Dr.Niaz did lose his temper and reacted in the wrong way for which he must apologize. Buy please realize that every one deserves respect not just Super Stars. Only dead men don't react when provoked and poked.

Very impressed with the comments of dr Nauman Niaz. Honestly I have a negative view against him but as soon as I listen his views and admissions my heart is clean and I have absolutely no grudge against him and I also pray and very well wishes for him towards his health and hope him and Shoaib a bright and shining friendship.

Beautiful interview. I have been following Dr. Nauman's channel for a while. And enjoyed the indepth discussions too. Admired his cricketing skills, memory and his medical background. And today i saw his human side which we all have- stressed, angry, outburst, hurt, ego and apologies too. My respect and empathies Dr. saab!! Stay healthy and live long sir!

I have been following Dr Nouman for 4, 5 years now on Ptv and his KZread channel ,'Caught Behind'. Everybody is criticizing Dr Nouman, but he's a very knowledgeable person who gives respect to all cricketers. In fact he always introduced Shoaib akhtar by saying hes d superstar and fastest bowler. He in fact praises Shoaib akhtar so much dat one feels Shoaib isn't that big a player. I have noticed Shoaib and Rashid Latif every now and then try to insult Nouman Niaz but he always responds with a smile and makes d audiences feel as if they r close friends and they r just having fun. Even on d day when he insulted Shaoib , he was being constantly insulted by Shoaib Akhtar with some words like' Did u c d game, followed by an insulting gig from shoaib.' Dr Nouman's anger must have been building up from past several months which erupted suddenly when he asked Shoaib to get out of d show. He was wrong this time around but people shd realise even he was being insulted constantly. We should talk fairly and with justice. No doubt shoaib is a superstar cricketer but hes nowhere near Dr Nauman in terms of education and knowledge.

Wow! Out of 27 times, Shoaib breached the contract 25 times and only appeared on the show 2 times and still doctor didnt say anything to Shoaib. Also, Shoaib was lying and sitting on other Indian and Pakistani channels again breaching contracts. Shoaib must have been fired a lot before. Doc should apologize that he didnt fire Shabby before.

It is a lame excuse... Not saying that Dr is a bad man but he completely mishandled the situation... No matter how many times shoaib breached contract, it should've handled offline... You cant say "You can go" to any guest on air

Dr Nauman Niaz has contributed incredibly for cricket and in general to sports.He is a behind the curtain star whom not many people unfortunately recognize.Shoaib Akthar on the other hand is a self-styled hero and star who has gotten the game into his head and this controversy was in the waiting to erupt.... I am sure Dr Nauman, the gentleman that he is , has the courage and the heart to unconditionally apologize in front of the nation.Shoaib Akthar , I can vouch would never apologize for any of his wrong-doings ever.

The man who apologizes has realized his fault. This matter needs to rest. 30 years of friendship should continue. He has stage 4 cancer, if he goes Shoaib will have to live with that for entire life.

It was good to see Dr Nauman Niaz with his side of the story. All I can say Dr Nauman is a man of big heart. He apologised unconditionally. Not every person can do this. I think we should forget about this incident and make a new start. Thanks to Rauf Klasra.

The fact is Shoaib Akhtar came out as a man of grace from the incident.

The best thing about this interview is the honesty it carried from Dr. Niaz. Now it's a turn of shoaib akhtar to come forward and speak his heart out.

Dr. Nauman has earned my respect after watching this interview. You are not only genuine but very able as well. Hope you sort out your differences without compromising your dignity. I am sure you still have a very bright future ahead.

I always believe in a quote," LOVE ME WHEN I LEAST DESERVE".👌👌 Because this is the time when Dr. Noman Niyaz need our support more than Shoaib,,,& I think Shoaib is playing victim,, and using his popularity against Dr. Noman,,and hiding his faults 🤔🤔🤔,that's not good

His apology should have been unconditional, instead of saying, i did this because shoaib did this and this. It shows he is doing it due to media and public pressure to save his position. He should be removed from his position, because we do not need a hot headed person in such a senior position making a mockery of the heroes of pakistan. Rauf sahib asked some very difficult questions in his inimitable soft style and Dr.Niaz was totally frank and effusive in his answers.I sincerely hope that this crisis end Shoib accepts Dr.Niaz's apology and shows big heart that he truly possess.Both the legends are needed.I have always enjoyed their interactions and incisive comments.Bury the hatchet please and move forward.

Seriously Rajesh ?? I mean, a tv host, you disrespect the organisation he is working for, he disgraces a national superstar just because he had a different opinion, he shows disrespect to foreign national superstars present in the show and spoils the national image and then he comes on tv more than a week after the incident to say sorry and also gives justifications for his behaviour.....Wow, if that's guts, then I certainly hope there aren't too many people out there with similar traits. If he really wanted to redeem himself, he should have apologised and resigned from his position within 24-48 hours. By the way, did you know this guy has 5 job positions in PTV? he's obviously a very powerful guy who enjoys such exclusivity when so many well-qualified people out there are trying to get work. I do not know the person or functioning of PTV etc.. in my opinion if a person comes on a platform and apologizes for his wrong doings, well he should be appreciated for that.. I do not know who he is, and what's his background, and do not want to go into that argument.. Further that's my option, and what you have written is your opinion.. Well I respect my opinion and also respect your opinion too.. (but that does not mean I agree to your opinion..)👍👍

Yaar an honest person does not have 5 different job positions in the same organisation (PTV) and an person would have resigned by now. In the Uk , people apologise too but along with that they don't make excuses. Secondly they resign usually within 24-48 hours if they have done something really bad.What this guy did was extremely disgraceful. Now he's blaming Shoaib....

Doc knowledge and passion for cricket is undoubted, very qualified individual, people should respect people not just cricket superstars!

@beast Ek badi company or organization ko koi ek aadmi control nahi karta ....na koi ek malik hota hai. Numan Director ke post pe hai shayad unko PTVC jab chahe nikaal sakti hai.

Dr niaz seems to me well educated and well trained, he is not just like giving PHAINTA always.

Everyone makes a mistake but the great person is who recognise their mistake and apologise.. Much respect for you Dr saab..

There is no need for hour long justifications. It is about Respect of Guests on National Television. No one is allowed to disrespect anyone (whether Shoaib or Ordinary Pakistani) in front of millions of viewers. As simple as that. So if you are Apologizing for your behavior then well and good. Show can go on. But a lesson for all is that please don't disrespect any of your guest.

agreed but that go both ways.... the guest should also act professionally and not be an asshole throughout the show by making antagonistic statements/remarks . Also, Nauman is 100% justified in telling his side of the story because up until now, all that has been peddled has been a one sided narrative against him. Accountability in this case is a 2 way street

After his apology .. This matter is should be closed now ..

No need to listen to both sides ...just watch the actual video .. noman was very disrespectful and insulted our international hero on live international tv for no reason ..no matter what the problem was ..no one has right to insult the Hero of Pakistan on live tv. Personal issues should have been kept personal.

@@syedaryianshah6981 True, Dr. had no right to insult anybody. Shoaib has all the rights to breach contracts and take advantage of the World cup opportunity to make more money. He is not a HERO. It surprises me how someone with 2 indian wickets could become a Star. It can only happen in Pakistan and I guess in India as well. He is much less of a STAR than he claims. Please have a look at his career and stats. It's full of controversies and fitness issues. 178 wickets in test cricket whereas Brett Lee his counterpart in the era has 310 test wickets.

he did make a mistake but so did shoaib now that i look at it...u cant disrespect a man like that live on tv infront of other legends either. shoib maybe a hero to the nation but he still doesnt have the right to disrespect another human being either.

Thank you Rauf Saab for this timely Vlog. I love Doc and his other show with Rashid Bhai - Caught Behind. As the Anchor on that day, Doc lost his cool and later on he had a chance after the break to fix it and Doc didn’t do it. After the back lash and public outcry Abh Tho Kafi Sudhar Gayein Lagte Hain. Shoaibh and Doc should forgive each other and restart the PTV immediately. Most Humans find it hard to Forgive. It’s time for both Doc and Shoaibh to Forgive and Heal for sake of their Fan base .
