Seems like the dogs were never trained as pups in this footage, plus never given basic dog toys... my first two questions when I see destruction: "Are they being walked?" "Do they have dog toys?" And basically, "Have you ever bothered to train them or take training classes?"

Yeah. I have a shih-tzu poodle mix that has a loooot of energy, while the other two dogs are older and have a heart condition. So I can't walk them too far, for the older one 30 min is the max. So now I carry a squeaky toy that I can throw, so the shih-poo gets more exercise. 5 minutes of playing fetch is enough to level the energy of all 3 dogs.

I am angrily confused why people think they can have a dog and expect good behavior without any training. No one would drop a 5yr old into an office and expect them to be perfectly behaved and to act like a fully trained individual. Adult dogs are generally no smarter than 5yr olds, if that. Why in the world would you expect a young or untrained dog to act like a fully trained individual. Dogs aren't born fully trained.

Don't forget that an unexercised dog will also become very destructive. Dogs need exercise and brain food (stimulation/training/puzzles and toys) to stop them from making their own fun, which is usually destruction. If you want a dog, do your research, start training from day one and always exercise them. If you can't do that, you shouldn't get a dog. Just saying 😌

I am amazed that destructive dogs or dogs suffering from seperation anxiety, never seem to have any toys at all in the videos before Victoria gets there! How can you expect a dog to not chew on your stuff if you don't provide them with something they can safely chew on?! How can you expect a dog spend time on its on safely if there's nothing for them to do but wait for your return?! How can you expect your dog to behave well inside if you don't provide them with walks/activities to get rid of their excess energy?! The ignorance of people really amazes me

Unfortunately, these nice-tempered dogs are deliberately bred with structural deformities that detract from the dog's quality of life. They especially have trouble breathing. You need to protect them from heatstroke and if your summers get hot, your home needs to be air-conditioned. Along with respiratory disorders, Frenchies also suffer from spinal disorders, eye diseases, heart disease, and joint diseases. You wouldn't recognise them 100 years ago, the poor dogs have been genetically abused.

I've had a friend who had an Aussie, she'd go bike riding with him, was part of a search and rescue group and taught him all these fun commands and tricks - always a voice command and a sign in combination (so if you wanted to be goofy you could sign "bark" across the room to him and startle the heck out of people). He was also super social and friendly. Best of boys.

I have 4 dogs but only 2 like toys. Just really surprised dog owners don't give their dog toys, I know not all dogs like them but nice for them to have the option.

Why would you let your dogs destroy the couch instead of crating them when you have a crate set up? Very weird. Glad they got help, though!

My dog always Tear's my shirts but does not mean he is aggressive. He just wants to play and is trying to get my attention. They have sharp teeth so obviously the clothes will tear. But yes, he very well knows the difference between a bite and pinch. He has torn dozens of my shorts, shirts and pants but never once bit me or pinched me. He is so gentle ( only with the family). He pinches me from his front incisors only when I bite his ears🤣. Man that pinch is super painful.
