Hi Tony, Thank you so much for this wonderful tour. I really enjoyed all of this. The baby seals were so cute. It was so interesting to learn that an albatross does not fly; it soars on the wind currents and has a 7 foot wingspan. I do wish we could have seen the penguins, but do realize why they must be protected. The bus driver was very informative and pleasant. This was a great example of how booking a tour through the ship is the best way to avoid being left behind, if there is a delay getting back on time. 👍🙂

I live in Port Chalmers and as a local, we know where to find the seals and penguins are for Free, but of course you need your own transportation and time. It was good to see what that tour is like as I’ve often wondered. I was pleased to see so many seal pups and glad you had a good time despite the rain. Cheers

This is why it's our favorite thing to do the first time in a port, the drivers teach you so very much and are often quite entertaining as well. Once we get the lessons in, we can decide what we really want to see next time.

I am loving these Australia and New Zealand videos since I am visiting both next month, February 2023. I am on a 10 night Carnival cruise Sydney to NZ and back then will spend a few weeks in Australia before flying home.

Its a shame the cruise didn't offer the penguin watching tour from the albatross sanctuary. Staying until dusk and seeing hundreds of penguins come ashore and walk right past you was my wife's highlight of our whole NZ holiday. Beautiful place.

Wow. Love all the green, and beautiful water, and houses on the drive. So clean looking. Lol the bike path $$$. Interesting info from driver. Seriously so amazing . I love listening to the Crocodile Dundee accents of those from that area. It’s funny seeing the door on left side and driver on right. Omg baby seals and their little noise. I am dying this is so beautiful!!! The town buildings are incredible. The courthouse, wow. Train station is cool. ya glad you are on a ship excursion. I would be freaking out if not. You are really embracing the rain, guess no choice, ha. What a fantastic tour, Thank you so much for sharing that entirely. Love it so much. ❤👍

I always love bus driver led tours. You get so many little tidbits you wouldn't get with a typical tour guide.

Dunedin was one of my favorites when I went to NZ. I went to an animal rescue place (not sure if this was the same because we didn’t get near the beach.) But I could see if from the cliffs. Saw lots of penguins.

We will be in Dunedin in Feb, going on the Taieri Gorge Train Ride. We have done the tour that you have just done, brought back happy memories.
