My roommate didn’t want her female dog to get pregnant so when she caught her boy dog and the female mating and already tied.. she got SO mad! And she smacked the girl dog really hard and the boy dog as well, and they were crying because she was hitting them while they were tied, then her cousin came outside and tried to separate the dogs, so he smacked the boy dog really hard thus hurting the female dog as well, and then Actually picked up the boy dog by his arms WHILE still tied to the female dog, he was basically dangling both dogs by their weight as they were freaking tied together!! They screamed in pain so much 😢 and i couldn’t do anything to stop them from hurting the dogs.. but yea, some people shouldn’t own pets.

You CAN do something about this! Report this to your local Animal control officer instead of telling a bunch of strangers online that you witnessed two ignorant monsters beat their dogs for mating! The dogs didn’t do anything wrong; it’s instinct! I can’t imagine the amount of pain that both dogs endured. The saddest part ? I’d be willing to bet that your cousin will be happy about the pregnancy once she realizes that puppies = “free money.” Ugh...

I have a miniature poddle. I had her mate 8-10th days of her period. Both times, they locked for 20 mins each time. do you think thats the best time to do it? Having trouble knowing if i had her do it when she was in heat and if it worked. They said towards the end of her cycle but im worried i did it wrong😭

I personally never do that. I always progesterone test so I know the best breeding days. I’ve had dogs tie way before they’re ready and I’ve had dogs take up to 28 days to be ready. If you really want to be successful, progesterone testing is the way to go. Even if you plan on a natural breeding like your poodles. The more information you have the better it is for you to plan and know what to expect. I would expect her to be pregnant but you’ll have to do ultrasound or xray to be sure. Xray especially if she’s having them naturally so you know exactly how many will be coming out in case of emergency

If you’re running a blood progesterone test it would be 2 days after ovulation and then again 36 hours later, again 36 hours after that. If you’re not progesterone testing people swear day 13-17 of bleeding but I don’t use that method

What happens if you breed a pied Merle to a blue tan???? - I have a blue eyed pied Merle she is stunning nice build and square head she’s health tested and AKC and am wanting to breed her to a blue tan and was wondering what the offspring would look like colors wise? and if there would be any negative effects in their health like when you breed 2 Merle’s together, you can end up with blind or deaf puppies, and I wasn’t sure if breeding Merle and blue tans would produce that I didn’t think that it would but I’d hate to produce bad offspring

It all depends on what they carry. It’s not about eye color. Merle to pied is fine. I can’t tell you what colors you’ll get without knowing the dna of both parents

@@jaylow189 Osiris can make chocolates, rojo, Isabella, new shades, blues, blacks, lilacs, solid and tan points. With Elsa’s basic dna he’s given me chocolates, lilacs, black tans, trindles, blues.

I have! Elsa and Osiris tie every time. I still do progesterone testing to make sure she’s ovulating and stuff. But Elsa has tied with him for the past 2 litters. Tieing just drives me nuts. It takes forever, can’t drink my coffee or eat breakfast bc they always seem to want to do it when I’m waking up and heating up coffee. It makes the girls very uncomfortable, upset even. And on the last day they tied it really hurt Elsa for the day so I just prefer ai anyway

Some frenchies can’t. It all depends on height and hips. Some have horrible aim. I’ve seen that too. Like the boys come in from the side and just can’t figure it out.

No. Find a good line breeder that can explain it to you. I’m not into line breeding. Too much can go wrong.

I actually have a friend who has done line breeding and they’ve been in the business for over 10 years, she grew up in a breeding home. I found out I’m wrong. This is what she told me: No siblings from the same litter- siblings with different parents are ok Father to daughter is ok Not son to mom But she says you really have to know your lines well and the history of problems.
