@@fora1924 akainu killed ace because ace was protecting Luffy, if he turned into fire akainu would have hit Luffy so he sacrificed himself for his brother, it also showed fire around the whole because magma sets things on fire, also ace had haki but I don't think it was shown until after this death battle happened

If you think about it, Natsu can eat fire, and Ace is made of fire. Connect the dots.

it's more complicated than that, he's not an average fire, like flames or something, he's an element, nature of fire. You can't just eat him in that form, the fire from logia is basically infinite and you can't hit it without haki.

@Angello! R. The problem with it being a stalemate is that in One Piece they have stated that any element stronger than the element a logia is using will overpower that logia user. Let's assume that Ace decided to stay in his physical form so Natsu couldn't eat fire, physically Natsu is ridiculously stronger than Ace and would either kill him or knock him out. If Ace decides to use his fire at all then Natsu can eat it and regain his stamina, where as in One Piece Ace would've had no way to keep replenishing his stamina during a fight. So no it would not end in a stalemate. Short term Natsu kills/incapacitates Ace due Ace slipping up or Ace not wanting to use his fire form, long term Natsu wins because of having more stamina than Ace.

Town level is way below Natsu’s power. His fire dragon king mode was once stated to be strong enough to defeat any member of the Spriggan Twelve, and atleast 1 of them(Irene) is continent level.

Crippling debt is also a weakness to the character in Konosuba.

Even with the power ace showed in his gaiden and our current knowledge of him having all three hakis, natsu can easily blow up huge mountain tops and melt entire lakes, both without breaking a sweat. Conqueror's haki wouldn't work on a shounen protagonist like Natsu and a logia user's armament haki likely can't come close to natsu's physical prowess. I'm a One Piece guy, but although Natsu isn't fast enough to eat Ace, he outclasses him in every way, from objective abilities to plot-driven ones.

Not only can Haki (Which is just the power of manifesting ones own will) hurt or kill Logia users, so can other logic users and any element that opposes that devil fruit. Water could hurt ace, lava can hurt ace, even enough dirt and rocks from the earth can hurt him or at least decrease his power. We could argue that Natsu couldn't actually eat Ace since he could use Observation haki to see it coming and avoid the attack without being eaten by switching back to solid form, but even that isn't enough to say Natsu won't win. It just proves that the limits of both of their abilities need to be reevaluated. Especially since Natsu could only successfully pull off Lightning Fire Dragon Slayer Magic under one of two situations, Wendy imbuing him with magic from all the dragons or by him consuming lightning in some form. We can make the argument, however, that plasma and lightning are the same but that's still not always true. You can create plasma without generating electrical charges. But I digress. Great video but the research needed to be more in depth.

All I had to hear was “Ace can turn his body into fire” and it was a done deal. Natsu wouldn’t be capable of losing in that scenario. Not even sure what the fight looks like yet but I already know Natsu won just based on that line alone.

@@vicentius that is a very fair point, coulda gone out with more style or a bit more of a fight without a doubt.

Im surprised it doesn't come up that Natsu's attacks should be able to hurt Ace. One piece made it clear any fire hotter then ace's can hurt him. Natsu doesn't shoot and punch with fire, he does it with Dragon fire, which was specifically noted as being hotter and capable of burning anything.

To also be clear about the temperature of Natsu's fire, it is compared and scaled to Wall's Magic Confinement Fusion (Magnetic Confinement Fusion) which is up to 200 Million Degrees Celsius. That is already way hotter than Ace's fire.

One Piece made it clear that Logia's weakness is that anything cancelling the natural element can harm it's user. For example using water to quench Ace's flames or any fire hotter than himself such as Akainu's magma. Haki isn't neccessary to damage a Logia if you got the means to cancel their element or counter it. It's the same with every devil fruit, like Luffy is vulnerable to blades but immune to blunt.

the only fire user i think MIGHT have a chance of beating Natsu is Yamamoto head captain in Bleach, what little we seen of him he has great physical strength and is like 1000s of yrs old so he has alot more experience and wise.

What's the point in even spoiling that though? I'm sure a lot of people already know about Ace but it didn't really add anything to the death battle analysis.

This isnt a fair comparison. Ace as a character didnt get to develop because he was killed off pretty early where as natsu is the protagonist and main character of his anime (also natsu gains energy by eating fire so ace would be feeding him)

Side character or not, it doesn't matter. All that matters are the faeats and statements to which the character can be scaled. Krillin is a side character in dbz, yet we know he is way more powerful than natsu. But we know that even the weakest characters in dbz have planet busting feats and statements. Do you wanna apply this logic in such match. Your logic will make no sence. Even if we assume krillin has enough screen time to improve, a can do the same thing with other characters - raditz is in 10 episodes max, yet even he is stronger than natsu. The same is with ace, whitebeard has much less screen time, yet we know ace can even scratch him. So the logic side character vs main character is heavily flawed. You are right that ace will just feed natsu, though.

That was a great battle to see and this was a awesome video to watch and enjoy today :)

Base Natsu solo the verse he's fire in base form is literally 200million degrees while admiral akainu from one piece being yonko level is only 2372degrees

4th or 5th time watching this and finally counted how many time y'all said fire. Counted 22 times when explaining Natsu and 17 times for Ace, 11 times while they were fighting and 3 times at the end. Total 51 times in 19 mins.

I was kinda expecting a scene of Ace falling into a beach shore and Natsu over a boat near him and having both being weakened and sick they decide to take a few minutes break.

Easily one of the most gruesome deaths in the show. As if Ace being done dirty while giving his life to save Luffy wasn't already bad enough.

I’m not really a big fan of this match but the fight was pretty decent but Natsu should come back and fight Luffy when One Piece ends… eventually

Killed by stronger fire Vs EATS Fire. The only thing that wasn't predictable was that Natsu didn't just eat Ace. Also, Natsu had no lightning to eat, unless there's some ability for him to just generate lightning on his own in later seasons. Eh. Not a bad episode. Just predictable.

He doesn't need to eat new lightning to use lightning fire dragon mode. I don't remember it being made clear why this was a permanent power up but it was. He just doesn't always use it because his usage of lightning drains him quickly. He can't use it as freely as Laxus can.

That was really, REALLY an useless fight. It was one sided since the start, since natsu could eat fire FOREVER. It would be more fair to pair sanji or luffy against natsu, not ace -.-

I mean yeah but you could've still picked the other user of the Flame-Flame Fruit. Since he actually has a lot of combat training and can use 2 types of haki (I'm not sure if he can use the third one) honestly that would've been a lot more fair and might have ended in an L for Natsu.

I wish they'd do this again with sabo. Ace relied on his devilfruit too much and sabo has a lot more tricks and techniques. Also sabo was also raised by a "dragon".

I completely forgot how underrated this Battle was and this has to be the most brutal dead ever by comparing to Reverse flash Killing Goku and and Thor smash the head of Vegeta

I dont even need to watch the whole thing to know Natsu wins this by default. Any opponent that relies on anything FIRE to win a fight is basically an instant loss against him.

This is straight fax. Ace flames are useless against Natsu. Natsu already has high level resistance to flames, he isnt completely immune to it, but he has resistance to flames. Ace flames aren't even country level, Natsu will just absorb them like they're nothing more than some candy-coated oxygen pills and eventually neg diff ace. Natsu also has an existence erasure, he erased 1000s of spiritual beings whilst fighting against Zero. Hes too goated

Makes a lot of sense that in a battle of two people who use and are immune to fire that the only person who could win is the one that has one other element to use

They forgot that natsu's Fire is more powerful when he is angry

Ace is always fire the times he has been hit were from Black beard (from his weird fruit), Smoker and Luffy (smoker had a sea prism stone weapon), and he was killed by someone using Haki (we could not see haki pre-time skip)

Nah he died because the admiral has a magma fruit and magma beats fire. Logia fruits can easily be defeated by a superior element. If Ace had a Devil Fruit that allows him to use or absorb electricity then I believe he and Natsu would've been equally matched.

Natsu is planetary at the very low, can burn concepts, souls and unburnable objects and power sources. Plus his fire even in his current weakest in doezens of times hotter than the Sun. There is no "equally matched", no matter what devil fruit you give to Ace. Natsu stomps.

His flames can also not be controlled by another fire manipulator), High Temperatures (Natsu is almost completely unharmed by any form of heat based attack. Natsu is capable of resisting and withstanding his own heat, which by X792, is hotter than 200 Million Degrees Celsius. Natsu was able to completely resist and negate August's heat-based Magic)

Rage's Legend Hisoka would own Gambit way too badly so that battle would be intresting but Gambit just doesn't offer much in battle combat experience since Hisoka can track & also use many different types of attacks to trap Gambit way to easily

Hunter x Hunter characters are actually quite tame. They're not even close to the level that a lot of the other characters in anime and games show. If you consider that **SPOILER** The strongest being in the show was utterly annihalated by a cheap bomb.

It would increase his odds, but Haki isn't perfect. Natsu's vastly stronger than Ace is tough, so his attacks could likely break through Ace's Haki through sheer force. And if he infuses his flames with Haki, there's a good chance Natsu could eat them and gain flames with the property of Haki. He's done similar things before when eating esoteric flames. Even worse, it might send him into Dragon Force and make the gap in their speed and strength even greater. Natsu v. Ace is a slaughter at any point. Put in Sabo if you want a real fight, but even then...

an already Dead side character VS an ALIVE main protagonist who gets stronger and stronger im sure that's Fair :)
