We are not in USSR times. Modern Russia is not a superpower anymore. A country with an economy the size of Spain can never be considered a superpower. Russia has been condemned by the majority of the world's countries. They have been sanctioned by most countries, and are locked out of most international trade. Additionally half of their sovereign wealth fund assets are frozen and half their military materiell is broken. Mate, Ukraine is a democratic country with an elected President and a unicameral parliament. Ukraine may not be a NATO member yet but it is a hugely important country geopolitics-wise for Europe and US. If Ukraine were defeated and conquered by Russia, the reprecussions would be huge. Their defeat would embolden Russia to engage in further aggression towards the smaller Baltic states and that would lead to WWIII. As regards corruption in government, show me a country that does not have a history of corruption. President Zelensky has been trying very hard to fight corruption under very dire conditions - his country under Russian invasion, major infrastructure bombed and destroyed, thousands of civilians dead and millions more displaced.

The issue is more than just U.S. jobs, the actual money is spent on weapons that are given to OUR military. In turn, we then send other weapons to Ukraine, so the bill is really about supplying our own military with weapons systems. Also, some Media and members of Congress are NOT representing the Russia Ukraine conflict truthfully, fairly. Our support of Ukraine is fundamental to stopping Russia from reconstituting a new authoritarian expansive power in Europe. We either spend money now stopping Putin's immutable military expansion, or the circumstances will guarantee that in two or three years, we will be involved in a World War with US troops fighting in Europe, losing thousands of soldiers and spending trillions of dollars. MT Green and many members of Congress who are scrambling for the US to not provide help to Ukraine under the guise of focusing on "domestic" policies are the very ones who will get us involved in worse international wars. The US/Mexico border is a problem, buy saying that you will not stop Putin's authoritarian destruction in Europe until we solve the US border problem is nonsense. The EU can supply money. They have given more money than the US, until this latest Congressional approval on Saturday. Russia illegally invaded Ukraine According to most estimates, every day of the war in Ukraine costs Russia $500 million to $1 billion. That is up to $ 730 billion since the beginning of the special military operation. Since the beginning of the special military operation at least 300, 000 Russian soldiers have been killed. That'sRussian blood on Putin's hands The Russian people have paid about $ 600 billion and had more than 300,000 of their brothers, husbands and fathers killed in return. Another two years of the so very 'limited military operation' will double these figures: an investment of $ 1,200 billion with an ROI of more than 600 000 dead Russian bodies. Putin is clearly very stupid and bloodthirsty not to want to stop this ruinous 'limited military operation' . He has blood on his hands, don't you agree edpeterson? Putin is clearly very peace loving ( and stupid) not to want to stop this ruinous 'special military operation' Russia has OBLITERATED six Ukrainian cites and maimed and killed tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians - babies, children, women, men.... The U.S. sent enormous amounts of aid to Britain, the communist Soviet Union, and the Republic of China in Asia during World War II. This was initially through lease bills, but at the end of the war, the U.S. made all aid sent during the war unrepayable for postwar reconstruction. This allowed Western Europe to achieve economic recovery. The U.S. was great at that time.

I’m a Trump supporter. I voted for him twice . I also support Ukraine and I wish the media would stop saying that Trump voters don’t support Ukraine because it’s another lie !

How can NATO countries give them their missile defense? So they don't really need them in the first place or they couldn't give them up.

Also it's important to understand that Vladimir putun has the resources and power in Russia to drag out the war for decades. Is it really in the u.s. favor to spend huge amounts of money for years on this? Especially when inflation housing, education, ext. Cost are so high for Americans. Where should we be spending the money is definitely a important question people should think about.

America. Let go. You dont have to rule the waves. Its not your responsabilty to ensure world peace. Stay home, look after your own. Fight the battles on your own shores. Lead the way by, leading the way at home. Keep the home fires burning. The world will look after itself. Be free America, from the worry, from the financial pain, from the lack of freedom at home, mow the lawn in your own back yard, keep america free by being the america you think you are.
