Well honestly that depends on pilots training more than the plane itself and 2 F-35’s vs 5 or 6 Russian jets is not an easy task. I mean I could be attacked by a hand full of 5 year olds but I am winning that battle alone and punting those little bastards and I think I could 50 at once but with effort but I am not beating 100 or more. Same logic here that inferior size, strength, cognitive abilities can defeat through shear numbers.

I mean a couple of f 16s took f35s out in simulated combat with better skilled pilots. And simulated combat is all the f35s have done so far.

@@modernman7576 that was not BVR. That was initially because of g-lim on the f-35 and when turned off the performance of the f-35 was far superior, And don't get me wrong the f-16 is my favorite jet its just not comparable.

I guess that makes sense. If you have 40 of these in one base it becomes a high risk target from a single missile strike. Having 2 per base over 20 different bases would be the way to go to mitigate the risk of a pre-emptive strike. It's like that munitions depot in Kyiv .. would you really store all your eggs in the same basket when being attacked, or spread your munitions stockpile out over a lot of different depots?

I believe that if shit really kicks off they are going to be distributed out to smaller airfields and strips and surrounding areas to minimize this risk. Additionally, any scenario where these aircraft come under attack will be a war against all of NATO seeing as they are all in nato countries. It would be no ukraine-most of the cruise/ballistic missiles would be shot down or hit by electronic warfare and their launchpads targeted, and most of the aircraft would already be in the air and then land at bases further to the rear in central and southeastern europe after returning from initial missions

@@mikec886 I hope they get a lot of those new stinger missiles and start massing those with javelins and artillery, that would be perfect they have a golden opportunity right here to inflict massive losses that might make Putin reconsider some things. They have a lot of anti air massed there along with everything else but they should really consider sending a couple dozen stinger teams to harass Russian aircraft that try to come in and take out their artillery and javelin teams while they just start destroying vehicles, start making improvised roadblocks with so many destroyed vehicles that they can't advance on Kyiv. They are all stuck on that one road, going off that road will be difficult and they could potentially destroy hundreds of vehicles, I mean that amount of destruction would probably make the entire front half of the force abandon their vehicles and run

Germany has Eurofighter and Tornado, but will buy F-35 as it needs it to carry their nuclear air dropped bomb which their soon to be retired Tornados carry.

One Romanian Mig 21 and a rescue helicopter 'crashed' yesterday near the black sea and the Russian fleet in a supposedly bad weather accident, killing 8 airmans. No link with those modern jets arriving today ...

I fail to see how Russia invaded it in 2014, they did in 1944, and Romanians are still mad about that incident..... Sending more F-35's to them after all the excitement of showing how to beat the Russian Armor last March never seems to rate a mention. The US could end the entire affair, but the Investors in the US LNG market will not allow that. The US is committed to the lies they already told. Just like in 2003.....

Secondly it is about Putin wanting to bring back old territory and correct what he called the worst tragedy to happen in the last century ( Breaking of USSR) . NATO didn't do anything to attack Russia. NATO would never attack Russia because they know Nukes would be involved. NATO would never attack another nation in hopes of making it part of their territory. Big differences.
