Hey guys! This piece came about as I dove headfirst into Brazilian samba music. Apparenty, the genre has deep roots in african musical traditions, particularly West Africa (what a coincidence!), so I ended up falling down a rabbit hole of Afro-Brazilian music. As I developed the music, it started to sound quite tropical, but I didn't mind considering the time of year haha! (Maybe there'll be a tropical area in Natlan?) Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this, and now I'm taking you along for the ride. Thanks for listening! :)

My linguistics loving self is going to have a field day with Natlan. I am fascinated by pre-Columbian American languages and recently fell into a rabbit hole of the Bantu languages in Africa. I can't wait for this diverse and colorful nation.

Wow, it's so relaxing! It could be the music of a plain or a village. Besides, I noticed that you used a structure similar to the music in the Natlan preview! With the superposition of instruments!

Thank you and good catch! I used the same Fula Flute and Marimba as in the teaser theme. I also used the Balafon but it's less noticeable in this theme. Overall there are a lot more instruments in this one, especially the percussive instruments!

People upset that Natlan is so vibrant and colourful forget that tragedy and/or horror are less effective when there's too much of it. That's why i think most people don't remember just how edgy Inazuma was, because there was little contrast. On that note, I'm really curious how hoyomix can incorporate this style of music into something scary. Imagine "Before the Light Fades" but Natlan version,ominous samba sounds sick!

They often drip market same day as the teaser but we also should get another look during the 4.8 program. But they could drop the teaser earlier in july so who knows. Either way I'm excited~!!
