I really like seeing what native options we have to install in our home gardens. I have to admit, I have a lot of south american and asian houseplants like philodendron and epipremnum I've incorporated into my landscape, but most of my trees are drought tolerant so it keeps the watering down overall. I'd like to know what 10-15 ft options we have for privacy screens, perhaps different types of plants so we don't have monoculture? It beats having the ficus natida that landscapers like to use everywhere in this city - they have super invasive and aggeressive roots that destroy sidewalks and irrigation.

A great alternative to ficus is Hollyleaf Cherry (prunus ilicifolia)
