His dead eyes when he gets it wrong for not adding a single word 😭 I feel it
Whenever you do this type of video, I always say to my friends: "It feels nice that a fluent Korean is ALSO having these issues." 😂 The owl taught me 한식, and then without providing context as to why, DENIED my usage of it in a lesson later on 😂

I was doing a speedrun on Japanese one day (I'm japanese btw) and it had so many flaws...I honestly don't understand why anyone wants to learn from this app...

@@tatsumisouma For me, the reason is that I don't do well with textbooks -- I lose focus. I can follow theory if provided in accessible places and ways, like if Duolingo had grammar points explained that you could go back and review. But the gameification helps

@@kennethiain that's understandable. Although Duolingo isn't the best tool either. At least in Japanese (and as I see in Korean as well) it makes no sense a lot of times. Also it speaks (at least in Japanese) Google translate Japanese. A lot of times it creates sentences where if you translate the sentence it means what it says but in reality no one speaks like that
How did this man single-handedly teach me more korean than my korean school + duolingo in 8 minutes
Mother of god BLESS YOU SO MUCH for talking about the friggin' difference between the two "I" Forms!!! Duolingo just... changes it. NEVER ELABORATES WHEN TO USE EITHER just says nope incorrect it's THIS one and I'm left sitting here like... BUT THEY BOTH MEAN I SO WHEN DO I USE THEM?!?
You can report when you think the phrase is correct. Back when Duo was only a site I studied English (I'm a Br-Portuguese speaker) and reported SO MANY stuff and they sent feedbacks warning me my answers were now accepted. Always report, they'll use your alternative responses eventually if they're correct. (If some English speaker is learning Br-Portuguese, you're welcome, I increased your possible answers 😅).

Not trying to be rude and I’m trying to help you understand English better. Your use of “warning” was incorrect and I’m assuming you meant to have used “notified”. As a native English speaker warning has a negative connotation and can be taking the complete wrong way when used in conversation. Hope this helps 🙂

Bro explained the difference between 은/는 and 이/가 in two seconds…… I have been trying to figure out the difference between the two for literal months and he explained it in two seconds……. Where was this video when I first started learning Korean particles 😭😭😭 I have no idea why this time it made sense to me but I understand now
You are going through so much for us like I could never. Might do this for my own language
I'm on unit 30 of Duolingo Korean, and I always choose to use the keyboard because it's easier to memorize new words by typing them. I find myself having to look at the options when I'm not sure in what way they want me to say it. They try to add as many acceptable translations as possible, but because English and Korean are so different, that's not always easy. I've gotten sentences wrong for writing the -요 form when they wanted the -습니다 form, so now I don't take any chance and just look at the suggestions to see which form they want before I submit the answer. I think it could be nice eventually if the question specified which politeness level they're expecting.

It's good for learning to first think about the answer without any help so I think what you're doing is good! Not taking chances but you're still thinking about it beforehand and you know exactly what you're looking for when you look at the options. Even if you're way off just doing that cognitive effort is benefitial to learning.
I was recommended your first Duolingo video today and was excited to see that you had multiple of them. Having the final video (maybe) be posted only a day ago is some stroke of luck!
His disappointment with the award from completing every lesson is what gets me
실수로 'Native Korean'을 'North Korean'으로 읽었을 때 진짜 혼란스러웠어요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I found this funny 😄 I mean, I have never gone to school to learn Korean. I actually absorbed Korean by using basic communication with my parents and yet I found learning Korean on Duolingo was frustrating. I felt like I was reliving the frustration hahaha
Your videos helped me learn to read in Korean. I'm almost a beginner now. xD Thank you for making videos that are entertaining, easy to follow along with, and learn from!
I just had lots of fun watching ALL of your videos speedrunning Duolingo omg xD idk thanks for that!
I always enjoy this content 🤣 I also learn through your explanations :)
LOL NICE! i neber knew u were gonna do a part 4 :)
i love your content! just started learning korean and your video about alphabet made a huge impact on my motivation to learn language cause you’ve explained everything so clearly and i’m not feeling stupid 😭💗
thank you for your content!!!
I literally just watched the last part yesterday and now there’s another cool video wtf is this timing 😭
I’m on section 2 Unit 12 😂 nice to see some of the words and concepts I’m already learning in the video though. I loved the monster one I had the monster is afraid of babies for one of my questions 😂
i was just watching the last part again, wondering when the next one was going to come out
Always great to see Olleh return to the battle with duolingo
I remember trying to speed run my language but did super bad because I barely speak it 😆
The way u went legendary too😭😭😭
I've seen alot of people do this about Duo. Do you think you could do a review, of sorts, like this, with Busuu?
5:51 ive gotten "i hurt myself while singing in the shower" on the german course before, dang germans
This has become a regular content in this channel hasn't it? tbf I don't mind it being a staple, not at all. I sometimes find myself waiting for this even LOL

4:40 And I'm genuinely impressed how you managed to correctly type "예요" instead of the tempting yet wrong "에요". Even the native Koreans living in Korea often miswrite that. And whenever they do, it makes me die inside bit by bit. LOL P.S to nay non-Koreans reading this comment. The 거예요/거에요 relation is the equivalent of that of have/of; they are in no way the same, but they do sound close enough to be mistaken.
As a native korean and fluent english speaker, your duolingo videos are hillarious😂
quick duolingo hack: there's normally four more tiles left after you translate a sentence, so if there's more tiles left you're probably missing a few words
In the dialog with a boss it is so Korean of you to raise one hand with support of another. One does not simply break off old habits haha
5:44 LMAO
It took not even a minute to explain it, and after struggling with the difference of 제가 / 저는 for months, I can finally understand it and rest well at night. Thank you. 😂
:)))) love it
i tried this with my own language (czech) and everything was wayyyyy to formal and on few of the questions i was questioning myself if i even know my own language
I LOST IT sat the 6:54 mark, the siren in the background was too much 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Duo is so specific sometimes. I wish they'd explain why.
@OllehRebelz 1:40 Because some people just guess the sentence. For them the sentence You should boil the chicken is also a correct sentence but its not the correct answer to the question.
can you start from the beginning as if you don't know korean? I'm curious to see if you think what they teach for the first lessons are helpful at all
For the 인도 situation, it has to do with the chinese characters or hanja (한자) that were used before the korean alphabet was created.
“EAT MY ANSWER😡”
You should make a video about the app Lingory, I think it's more useful for the Korean language than Duolingo.

just saying theres 73 units now... it pushed me back a unit 😭😭😭😭 *another edit but you can't automatically get gold anymore... you have to pass this legendary test to get the gold mastery of each stage...
You should try doing it backwards (learning english from korean) on duolingo lol
Do you think that Duolingo would be a good way to practice Korean while learning?
Don't you have to do the level up?
I need to lean Korean Now!!!
I’m in Unit 11 so I’m just glad I understood a single word here. 😂
Sure 😊 Done… for now 👀
Is it just me or have you not actually completed the 'level up'? The test right before the trophy seems to have an incomplete progress bar. Are there more tests before the trophy?
7:42 dont worry owl is watching you
I'm on unit 4 bro, I'm gonna die
A couple of things that annoy me about Duolingo, apart from these stupid sentences, is the small words that you forget that don’t need to be there and things that you’re supposed to know but have never heard of eg. yellow dust (which is not a thing where I live), Sseollal, Ancestral Rites, raccoon dog… . I’ve been learning Korean for over two years (from actual teachers not just Duolingo) so I have a bit more knowledge on the language, how to write it etc and Duolingo annoys the hell out of me to the point I want to throw my phone at the wall

HELPP WHY DID I READ THIS COMMENT AT 5:45 😭😭
what do you think of duolingo's korean course, other than the overall pedantic tone. is it any good?
Funny how Duolingo is supposed to be supported by I assume linguists or like organized by them or whatever. And yet native speakers have a problem with the lessons
Duolingo is actually using google translate which sometimes do mistakes in text.
You can report the answers
I am really hoping Duolingo decides to update the Korean course so that it teaches you when to use certain words in certain contexts because how are you going to claim to help people become fluent in a language and then not teach THE BASIC RULES OF CONTEXT of said language....
Hi
impressive that you speak native Korean...it sounds like you speak native American English! You have an American accent!

@Dulingo
I wonder if the developers of the Korean course have a Korean education past elementary school... I'm guessing they do, but you go on correcting them.
