Many medical facilities across the country are experiencing a major blood shortage. National blood centers are saying that this is the worst blood shortage they've seen in a decade. To solve this serious problem, The Red Cross - which supplies 40% of the nation's blood - and other nonprofit blood centers say they need more donors.
