Oh man! Sorry to hear that you can’t travel! Glad you like the video though. Wish I had more time there while I was filming to do better camera work for you

This looks like an excellent museum, it seems they have got a good balance of information, interactivity and exhibits. There seems to be something for everyone. In my opinion some of the museums here in the UK have been ruined by recent refurbishments. Some are near-empty with very few artefacts and only have small amounts of dumbed down information. Others have gone too interactive, with everything on screens.

I’m looking for information about a k-bar knife that is at this museum. It has a clear glass handle supposedly made from the cockpit glass of a Japanese plane. The interesting part of this is. There is the same type of knife at the museum to the pacific war in Fredericksburg Texas. Could it be the same guy making these style of knives.? If anyone may know anything about this. I sure would like to know.

Looks like really great place. But not worth risking my life going to New Orleans to see it.

Me and my family went to New Orleans this year for a week. The most we were in danger was the fact that we couldn't immediately check in and we were stuck in the heat.

This museum somehow misses the point that the US' role in WW2 was a shielded industrial powerhouse and not a fighting force except for the naval campaign in the Pacific.

@@charliecain1424 The US did very little fighting. 400.000 US military casualties compared to ~30 MILLION military casualties of Russia, Germany etc. give a clear picture that the US never really engaged in combat until it was already clear that the Axis powers will lose the war..
