I mean, her songs are beautiful, so is her voice. But when listening to it, you always have in mind, how much more she is capable of! I'm missing the variety! @@andresweiland3714 Tarja was a big part of Nightwish. Even tuomas has admitted that. In fact, in the early years he claimed she was the inspiration behind the entire concept. Tuomas original idea was a folk music project, something along the lines of Auri. But Tarja's vocal skills changed his mind and sent them in the symphonic metal direction. Tuomas detailed all this on the End of Innocence DVD. When Marko joined the band, he and Tarja had great chemistry together and their combination made many songs like Everdream, the Siren, Phantom of the Opera, and many others very special. In my opinion and many others, that has never been duplicated. Yes, they are still a pretty decent band and Floor is a good rock singer, but that magical combination they had up to 2005 is long gone. And Marko's departure, I fear, is the final nail in the coffin.

Yeah, lots of drama. But given how long they've been around, Nightwish has been relatively stable. A core group has weathered the storms and I believe their greatness reaches far, far from Finland. I'm in the USA---where Nightwish has a very small fanbase---and I can tell you the Nightwish era of Floor Jansen changed my world. I believe Tuomas is the greatest songmaker (his term) of my lifetime (60+ years). However, his greatness did not fully materialize until Floor joined the band. She is an incredible singer, and a live performance juggernaut. Of all the changes, I believe the most damaging has clearly been the departure of Marko. Really tough loss. His voice is sorely missed. Many can play bass/guitar, but very few can bring the voice of Marko Hietela. Still, moving forward....if they don't lose Floor, Nightwish will age like an unopened bottle of 30yr old single malt.

There also might be some steps and phases that I forgot to mention. All this in less than a year, and then they would start a new tour that lasts another 1,5 - 2 years. When would they have time to rest properly and recharge their batteries? I understand people's love for the band, but it's not worth burning people out. :)

@@aeonspeace6995 I believe what they say. The band has only talked about a break or a hiatus. I'm not gonna make it anything bigger than it is, because that would be disrespectful. :) Nightwish is not the only band their crew works for. Whenever the band has taken a break between tours and albums their crew members have been working for other people. That's what they are gonna do after Human Nature tour ends. :) The pandemic took all their work away, not just the work they do for Nightwish. According to Marko, Nightwish helped their crew by paying them some bonus money so no-one would lose their house. The crew decided to form Crewish for fun and for earning a little extra cash. It never was a big source of money, even though every single penny went to the crew. Tuomas didn't want to receive any payments or royalties, he let Crewish have all the money. :)

So these people are saying men should not marry women to be equal to them or with similar interests. Yes, it can work. Look at Pat Benatar and her husband guitarist in the same band who have been married to each other for 40-50 years, for example. The problem is male egos, not having romantic relationship of someone with the same interest. For me, I would do this as a political statement against toxic masculinity and gender roles that men always have to be with a female that is different or lesser status than themselves. That is why I would rather go with a female musician than a supermodel. "The personal is political"(Charlene Spretnak). My lifestyle is a political statement against the evil oppressive patriarchy and macho jerks and insensitive men.
