I have several Panasonic radios and Channel Master(Sanyo) and they perform very well...at night I can usually get around 35 clear freqs from end to end of the dial.

Matsushita is pronounced “mot shus ta” . I work for Panasonic for the past 39 years ....

Maybe this radio needs a complete restore to work fine, you must consider the fabrication year.
