I went to this parade yesterday and yes it was very hot lol. I also almost suffocated because of the crowd, they pushed me😅but im oky and some people climbed the fence just to see this parade🤣🤣but still no regrets🤙🏻Tq for this video!

People gathered not only to celebrate independence but also to express joy after the end of the pandemic. After all, no parade has been organized for 2 years. During the pandemic, Malaysians are very disciplined and always obedient. The frontliners are always working hard to ensure the safety and welfare of Malaysians. So this is the best time for us to celebrate the frontliners. They are national heroes. Visitors have arrived at Dataran Merdeka as early as 4.30am. Some visitors did not go home overnight because they enjoyed watching the concert while celebrating the 12 am moment. Malaysia is a diverse country but has an extraordinary unity. 😊

Welcome to Malaysia! This year was definitely jammed packed and the stands to watch the parade was already fully booked at 5:30 am. Happy to see you guys enjoyed it & hope you guys enjoyed your stay in Malaysia as well!😄

Hi! Thanks for visiting Malaysia. I know it's crazy about the crowd during Merdeka day. If you want a good spot you have to come as as early as 4am. Some even sleep there on the eve of the celebration. However the celebration is not limited to KL only, we have various Merdeka celebration spots in all states. Just that the performances and parades are different. Even in other states, the crowd start to come in as early as 5am. I know it's crazy but this is Malaysia!

You're both really really awesome.. hopefully you both enjoy the trip in Malaysia, it's a country under the Commonwealth. Thanks for the waving Malaysian flags.. 😬💪💕

we usually watch the national day celebrations on tv, live. but people say the vibes are different if you are there at the location. but still I think the best way is to watch it on tv.

Actually the people who got the front rows mostly queued around 2-3 in the morning. It have been 2 years since our last parade hence the number of people coming this year is a lot more than before. This year is actually the most hyped year for the parade :)

4:05 Those are cars of officials related to the event, the actual parkings of Dataran Merdeka (the event location) is used for arranging and executing the march past by the military, police and other agencies. - So the top officials that arrive that morning parked along the closed roads leading to Dataran Merdeka (= no, not abandoned in the city center haha. Enjoy your stay ! Shop in KL , enjoy the seaside by Johor, Penang, Langkawi, deep in the hot springs and eat some good food in Perak, and visit Sabah and Sarawak for the orang hutan !

Next year would be lit for Independence Day since the Merdeka 118 should be completed by mid 2023

its been hella 3 years since the last celebrated Independence Day for us due to Corona Virus pandemic..though the situation is not fully controlled yet, this year's parade has actually been the most celebrated 'independence' due to Movement Control Orders we had back then..im flattered to see tourists like you guys had such a wonderful experiences there at Merdeka Square..feel free to enjoy the nation's breeze though the weather might discomfort you ;) * and actually they showed up there nearby the Square since 11pm night before :D
