Heads up, the National Cherry Festival is coming to Traverse City, Michigan at the end of June. The people from the fest were nice enough to swing by the station to talk about everything they have going on, and it’s a lot!
The executive director, Kat, and the Cherry Fest Queen, Carmen from Wayland, Michigan. She told me how she became the Cherry Festival Queen, about her travels with the fest, and how someone is going to take over her reign soon.
Stone Temple Pilots opens the festival with a concert on June 29th. Poison’s Bret Michaels plays on July 1st, with the Goo Goo Dolls playing on July 3rd.
