Carson set the tone for LSU in the first half. She was unconscious. Without her shooting, giving LSU a comfortable cushion going into the second half, the game result may have been different. Actually, I think that Carson or Morris should have been MVP, and not Reese. Reese is a power on the boards and "put backs" but she is really like Draymond Green of the Warriors which means she is a good player, but it is the other players who provide offensive fire power. Also, I am a neutral fan but Mulkey can really coach even though a lot of people were trying to stain her reputation regarding the Brittany Griner situation. I think that she has successfully blunted that criticism.

I was not surprised at all by LSU's offensive performance. Iowa can't play defense because their players are unathletic compared to LSU's. Iowa would have been out of the tournament before the Final Four if Ole Miss didn't upset Stanford. This just shows the power of the SEC is too much for some farm girls from the Midwest to deal with. Recruit 5-star players or get bounced. Women's College Hoops is about UConn, LSU, South Carolina, Stanford, Tennessee, Notre Dame. Iowa didn't belong in the conversation, and the same thing tonight will happen to San Diego State on the men's side. Blue bloods only

Yeah…..you can tell the announcers and the network wanted Iowa to win, but LSU had other plans. SC could have been here, but their guard was the only one who showed up to play in their loss to Iowa. Happy for the LSU coach and enjoyed a competitive tournament overall!

When I first heard of Clarke ESPN was comparing her to Stephen Curry. I was like no way what. Then I watched her beat South Carolina and now this game. She is definitely has a similar style to Curry and definitely she has the range to shoot the ball. She is the best shooter in a women’s basketball game I have ever seen. Her shooting is definitely similar to most NBA players.

I'm not sure if better than the men is the right phrasing for me... However, I felt like every single player that was on the court was so self-contained and aware of every moment. Every play looked purposeful and every single shot looked like it was supposed to go in even if it didn't. this is my first women's basketball game... Wow... Wait a minute!
