These horses are magnificent, really!

These horses are the original engines of industrial production in farming, war and work in general. How soon humans forget! I despise the fact that so many of these big breeds are now being mistreated and decimated in numbers. As with dogs, the virtues of these and all horses should be extolled.

Please stop cutting their tails! That magnificent, gorgeous animals have long and beautiful tails. Their bottoms look ridiculous and they don't deserve that.

An inner spirit from within tells them to run. They love to run. All horses are beautiful. Excellent!!!! Thank-you. I do agree with the other commenters that they need to keep their long flowing tails. When I look at their rears, it's not pretty at all. It looks like hippo or rhino butts. Horses were meant to have gorgeous flowing tails. Especially this breed. It would soften the large rumps they have?

Tails getting hung in harness and reins is nothing but bs somebody started. All docked tails amounts to is trying to make their rumps look more powerful. Just like trimming their manes to make it stand up looks like a thicker neck. Horse traders used to pose them with their front legs standing on something a little higher than their back end, made their shoulders look more powerful. A slick trader could fool folks that knew quite a bit about horses.

They are cut off to avoid being caught in the stuff they pull.

Tails can be plaited to avoid this!

And more importantly to avoid the reins getting caught under the tail as it is swished, plaiting won't solve this. It can be very dangerous and also give some very nasty injuries. But they don't need to dock the tail as short as is the style for this breed.

No, they wouldn't. They are a working horse. Their tails are docked for a reason.

Preferable to getting injured by the tail hairs getting tangled in equipment. Looks better. It's not a pony.

Tails can be tied out of the way, so later it can actually use it how it was meant to be used, ie swatting flies off its arse!

All who think it's wrong to dock their tails are stupid, ignorant and without knowledge! They dock the tails for a reason. They are a DRAFT horse... a WORKING horse. How would you like it if one of your appendages was caught in the trappings and inhumanely severed?
