    Build a 35k venue for €658 mln for 10 days running...and scale it down to 14k . €658 mln, in a country with a average €20k gdp/cap ! But no budget for hospitals .

In Österreich (speziell in Wien) gibt es keine neuen Stadien. Wir brauchen das ganze Geld für Sozialleistungen 😁...

'Build a 35k venue for €658 mln for 10 days running...and scale it down to 14k . €658 mln, in a country with a average €20k GDP/cap income! ...But no budget for hospitals . ' That is just throwing over half a billlion away ... To compare, in Birmingham, for the Commonwealth Games, they rebuilt a stadium with 18k permanent seats and with temporary seating to 35k capacity. For a budget of 'just' €90 mln. And a 'friend of Gorbán ' ( the prime minster) got to build the Budapest athletic stadium , for already an oversized budget of €300mln (but 'some overspend' and it became a ridiculous €658 mln ...) . The past decade Hungary has been on a building spree of oversized and costly sports and enteratainment arenas and usually the building contracts are for companies from the circle around PM Gorbán .... : -Puskas arena (65k ; €530 mln ) , -Danube Arena pool, for the aquatic WCH (12k ->5k ; €175 mln ); - MVM indoor (handball) Arena ( 20k; €325 mln ), take in mind that Budapest already had the modern 12k Laszlo Popp Arena and the 10k SYMA events centre ... and in the rest of Hungary have been built more, smaller , but very fancy venues . (I see that you're from the US and are probably used to billion USD projects , but you have to take in account that Hungary has a pop of just 9 mln people, with less buying power... Do I think it is quite obscene that in LA they built a stadium for 5 billion USD ? Yes, definitely ! Do I wonder how they ever gonna recoup those costs ? yes.. Would it be possible money got lost in pockets ? yes .)

@@realAndresilver The country is not in a good shape financially to prioritize a stadium and event like this, but it is what it is, we should enjoy the show now. Orban likes attention and create circus on the taxpayers money.
