To all my fellow Indian brothers and sisters from North-East region. When Gurudeb Robindronath Thakur wrote this, the Indian map was different from what we have today. So he used mother nature to depict certain provinces and areas. Like "Vindhaya", which is a mountain range, but it represents Uttar Pradesh and the surrounding regions. Also "Dravida", As we know South part of India has a lot of states but "Dravida" represents all of them in the anthem! You people from North-East are not excluded from the anthem. Gurudeb used "Himachal" the literal meaning of it is - Snowy / Hilly Area. And it represents Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and the whole of North-East region. As these places are full of mountains. And directly or indirectly linked with The Himalayas! Please do not think otherwise, you have every right on this country which we have! As a north eastern, I felt the pain like other times . Come here somday ,have a cup of tea with us and read our history and you will know how many Patriots we have lost , how much our people suffered in the past for this country's freedom . But even after all those struggles we feel left out . Not just talking about the anthem but also our problems. Government turns a blind eye to our border problems and so much more .

M from Bhutan 🇧🇹 but i really love India's national anthem.. its sooooo beautiful and peaceful to hear and even sing... i learned it staying up all night in my high school days and even sang it and dedicated to my Indian teachers teaching us in Bhutan on teacher's day...it was was most beautiful and heart touching moments for us too to see proudness in their faces and tears of joy in their eyes..i was the coordinator and it still makes me feel proud 😊..i even used to sing it like any other normal songs.. its sooooo peaceful.. many times it used to bring tears in my eyes and even to till date when i hear it.. desh bakti spirit comes... loved it alot... hugh love and respect to the one who composed it's lyrics and music too ❤❤❤❤

Here Tagore talked about areas and nature, not states. Hello even includes ocean here, Vindhya, Himachal, Dravida(that is covered by ocean from 3 sides), Maratha(Plateau) etc. are Natural geographical areas not political divisions as states.

I'm Indian and I'm proud of being Indian❤️🇮🇳 and I love every Indian citizen) One india one world" Pliz read till the end: Here everyone is talking about the word Himachal includes all north east part... But what exactly is the meaning of Himachal... Himachal means snowy mountains, and the snowy mountains are only the region between Nepal Bhutan Sikkim and may be some arunachal Pradesh.... The rest part of North East india doesn't have snowy mountains or say Himalayas... Only some small hills extended like the rest of India has hill... If Himachal denotes north east part then we can say it can also denotes the hill region in every part of India ..... And the Indian national anthem already wrote in the year 1911 when Rabindranath tagor even knew that there is a part of India called north east india .... And exactly the national anthem adopted in the year 1950 and still at this very moment some north east hasn't even annexed yet to India... And how can you say that the national anthem that existed before the annexation of North East india denotes it's region and.... Some are again stating that it's not about state it's about the different diverse region in India(you stated that they didn't include Odisha, Gao, etc..as well).. and yes I'm not talking about state, I'm here talking about the region, north east india is not a state it's a part of India....it has different climate, different geography, different culture, different people, different linguistic, different lifestyle....The line in the video touch every North, south, west and east but left out north east india... At least the Indian national anthem can mention something about north east india or some words that dedicates or denotes the north east region.... and Bengal has no any relation with north east .. Some states like manipur, Assam Tripura has been existing from a very long period of time, ... Manipur even has a history of 3000 years old... They have no relation with Bengal... They were never annexed or ruled under the Bengal.. And lastly I'm not mostly talking about the anthem.... I'm talking about Indian policy towards north east india... Let me state a fresh news or incident: Manipur, a state of India located in the north eastern part of India... Manipur has been burning and facing conflict violence since may 3rd 2023, with militants foreigners from Myanmar, already hit a year and still the prime minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi hasn't spoken a word since the violence has started... Manipur is not asking for him to come and solve the problem facing there yeah let manipur suffer... But is he not the prime minister of Manipur.. is manipur not a part of India... Why wouldn't he utter a single a word atleast to show that he care for the people of manipur that he shared the pain, sadness and sorrow with the people of manipur.... But apart from all of this, he shared israel war and show sympathy towards the iseral while his country is burning....Imagine if it were happened between the Pakistan and Indian border , the problem would have solved in just some days but not for the people of manipur... This is how India show sympathy towards north east.... Brother and sisters from mainland India we love you but the politician policy is not happy for the people of North East..... Besides all of this north east is mostly a border region... There is no proper fencing between Myanmar and India.... And there is no much development in North East... Here Tagore talked about areas and nature, not states. Hello even includes ocean here, Vindhya, Himachal, Dravida(that is covered by ocean from 3 sides), Maratha(Plateau) etc. are Natural geographical areas not political divisions as states.

North east is part of Himalayan range If you say generalisation then whole south india is generalised as Dravida. Whole Middle india is described as vindhya ranges. And north indian plains by two rivers Ganga and Yamuna. So himalya is generalising from Kashmir to far north east. Only states that find place are punjab gujarat bengal and odissa.

What most people even in India don't know about our national anthem is that we only sing one stanza of the poem jana gana mana as our anthem. The poem actually has 5 stanzas. It is in the last stanza that the north east is referenced. Raatri Prabhatilo Udilo Rabichhabi, "Purbo Udayo Giri " Bhaaley Gaahey Bihangamo Punyo Samirano, Nabo Jibano Rasho Dhaley Tabo Karunaaruno Ragey,Nidrito Bhaarato JageyTabo Chorone Noto Maatha Jayo Jayo Jayo Hey, Jayo Rajeshwaro, Bhaarato Bhaagyo Bidhaataa Jayo Hey, Jayo Hey, Jayo Hey,Jayo Jayo Jayo, Jayo Hey The words Purbo Giri literally refer to the "hills in the east" which is a direct reference to the North East.
