Nathan P5A, Former Metra on the BSFSRy
Here's my Metra P5A on the Big South Fork Scenic Railway. I took the bonnets off for this recording and got much more favorable performance from this horn. I especially love the way this horn looks with them on, but can't stand the way they effect the horn's sound, causing bells to lag and chiff severely. For now, the bonnets will stay on the horn for display, but will be removed whenever I put air through it.
For the second half of this video, I went to a different location with no view of the tracks. The horns sound great there, but there was nothing but trees in the video so I substituted a few pictures of the horn instead.

No idea what unit it came off of. However, at some point while it was in service, its 4A bell had been replaced with a straight 4 bell. That's the way it was when I got it, but since I wanted a P5A I put another 4A back on it when I restored it. Shortly after I got it, a friend guessed that it could possible have come from 139, but I have no way to verify that.

IMO it sounds kinda disgusting and dissonant, The old Cast P5A sounds really aggressive and has a more pleasing chord.
