I think that I kinda get the music video to this, so I'm gonna try to explain it in the best way I possibly can. So, this company that is 'Sharper Industries' releases the Immersion Tube. It is a device that has you basically go into a virtual world where you can create new memories, but there is also a chance of brain damage. Nate decides to buy this tube and he then discovers the girl who we know as Jessica. Nate 'meets' the girl for the first time in the virtual reality and then he keeps going back into the same scenarios for more. The lyrics. 'I know I'll drown yet I'm begging for more' implicates that Nate knows that the Immersion Tube has many consequences, like the brain damage, but he keeps begging to see Jessica. Soon enough, he tries to see Jessica again, but this time is different. As he chooses his location, there is a frequency speration, and it is telling him to disconnect from the program immediately. From what the video indicates, he does not follow these rules and uses the tube anyway. As the program is crashing down, the glitches are getting worse and worse by the minute. From what we can see, Nate could have possibly died in the tube, or possibly passed out. But, there is a possibility that these things aren't true and he probably is still in the broken program, trying to fight his way to see Jessica again. But, that is my personal opinion.

This is two years late, but I notice no one seems to mention that this device is clearly not supposed to be used solo. There's monitors everywhere tracking his vitals, showing his brainwaves, and even displaying the memory. The warning isn't something I think he ignores per se, I think it flashed on those screens outside, but because he was really alone and his only connections were with 'Jessica', there was no one to disconnect him and rescue him.

So THAT'S what all those weird datamoshing tweets were all about!

Using the clues from the "ad" at the beginning and also the song, here's what I think the video is about: It's pretty close to obvious that an important figure in Nate's life is gone (maybe not dead but she could be), or he became obsessed with a girl. the Immersion Tube is something that could be used for memories but is also a game of life or death. Using the tube for too long can cause serious brain damage (as said in the ad and shown towards the end of the video), because of the results of the Hallucina-Puff memory gas. Nate was using the Immersion Tube to relive the memories of this girl, or used past memories and replaced whoever was in them with Jessica; but spent too much time in it and his brain eventually crashed, which could be determined by the flash of "game over" and the glitch/virus effect in the video becoming much more severe.

I think he saw her in the ad and fell for her, so to be with this virtual girl he bought and continuously used the tube, leading to the brain damage and eventually wipe of his mind. I only don't think it's the died thing because it seems like anyone could access this virtual girl, plus she is the one in the ad

My interpretation of it: the ad in the beginning is basically saying do this for a the better life you deserve blah blah. all Nate wants is a life with the girl from the memories he's "downloading". the downloading represents him going through the memories in his head, wanting to be with the girl again. It crashing at the end is him coming to realize that it's over between them and he needs to move on.

Madison Green I disagree I think he brought a machine that simulated scenarios (made by the company for the thousands who brought it) which allow for limited customization (person, place, activity, time, and etc.) and he basically fallen in love with a fictional girl name Jessica (which was most likely a fan favorite considering she was on the ads) and Nate desire to be with her cause him to use the machine longer than it could safely be use (causing brain damage which also degrade the experience ("moderation is key")) basically he became a drug addict for the gas use in the machine with a damage mind.

I just got it! The song is describing forbidden love. In the context of the video, it describes how he fell in love with a computer program. His life is unfulfilling. He lives each day going to and from his daily ritual playing on his phone on the train clearly bored. Having "Jessica" in his life is the only way he can feel emotion and have a life of meaning. Everywhere he goes, he sees her. He wants her in his life. That's my interpretation anyway.

My personal fave is Live Long Enough, but StopRewind and this song are two that I can oddly relate to.

I don't know how many of you know Evanescence, but the intro for All I See reminded me of the intro to their song Everybody's Fool because of the ads. I loved the video for this, and I seriously felt like this was warning everybody to let something that they've been obsessing over go before it consumes them (the frequency being disconnected while Nate was on a "date" with "Jessica"). You don't realize how obsessed you were with something until it consumes you, and this is a powerful video that goes great with the song. Excellent work Nate, and I can't wait for the next video.

I was pretty excited when this popped up in my notifications since this is my favorite song from sandcastle kingdoms. I haven't stopped playing this unless another video I wanted to watch popped into my notification box and that's only temporary.

Contrary to what everybody else's interpretation of this song is, I believe that Nate fell in love with the person known as 'Jessica' in the Immersion Tube, not as someone he had met during his lifetime. Evidence of this is when he's talking about his visuals of her:"I don't know why, but I'm mesmerized by your broken eyes." "All I see is the ghost of you, tangled up in my sheets." It shows how he has only known her as the image in the Immersion Tube, not as a reality.

Now that I've watched this more than once I know what's basically going on in this video and it's definitely well thought out and planned! Amazing job to Nate and everybody else who worked on this video!

Listening to this again is giving me so much nostalgia and remembering that I had a crush on him when I was little

Man, it feels like this album just came out, where did those 6 years go? I’m excited about To Let Go coming out soon but also afraid because of the uncertain future. Sharper Industries... Nathan Sharp... Green Hallucina-Puff gas... Green gas and the green core thing in Take Me Anywhere... SOMETHING'S UP. AND I INTEND TO FIND OUT.

Starting from the beginning, we see the ad for the Immersion Tube and this is basically Virtual Reality but inside of a tube. The way this works is Hallucina-puff memory gas (HPMG) gets into your brain and makes you hallucinate, kind of liks LSDs but not exactly. At the end of the ad it says that HPMG can cause brain damage, but more on that later. Cut to the glitching and the seen of the train. We see glitches of the girl, supposedly named Jessica, in this train scene, more on her later. The train is riding into the city where Nate supposedly lives and he is playing a ballon game on his phone alone, possibly symbolizing he is lonely. There are many ads for the Immersion Tube with the girl Jessica in them. Then, we see a loading screen of him loading in Jessica and the place they will be. Then it cuts to the city again. Now we see him in the tube with HPMG and his body is limp. We see he is starting to fall in love with Jessica and continues to go back for more.We see him go back many times, saying eff it to the warning that is saying that his brain will be destroyed. We see stronger glitching and then we see the GAME OVER sign possibly saying its game over for Nate. Then, we see a sign that says You Deserve A Clean Start, sybolizing that the Immersion Tube is meant to damage your brain to give you "a fresh start"or to give you a different life, new everything. At the end we see the moon, meaning lights out for Nate. So, that is my theory on the video.

back for the nostalgia. i grew up on this. i listened to it thru jr high. in may, this year, im going to be graduating. how time flies :')

Well considering the "ad" in the beggining about Sharper Industries I think it was a simulation. Like think about it it was a simulation about a girl and it was Nate and the girl having fun going to the pier etc. Nate was in a tube like thing and on the screen it was the girl who I assume is Jessica he was reliving memories of when they had fun together. But he was in there for way to long and everything started to go down hill. There were warning flashes and everything just got all weird and glitchy even the game over sign kind of pointed towards that. But think of it in the real life perspective with him being in there to long and the game over sign it ment the end of the relationship.

I thought my phone was broken at the end. I literally said "Wow. Nate's singing has the ability to break my phone. Cool."

This is every misplaced, illogical crush we've ever had - those people we know we can't or shouldn't pursue, and may not if actually given the chance, but we just can't get them out of our minds.

natewantstobattle nate dude you breathe so much life into me, I listen to your music when I'm down, and you always pick me up. keep up the good work.

This in all honesty is one of the best music videos I have seen in a REALLY long time. The story it told was great and the use of glitched and distorted footage at the end as an actual editing effect was brilliant. When I first saw it I thought 'Ah man his codecs must be off or something happened with his render'. But I was wrong and it was fantastic. Great Video. Great song Nate!

I just have to say that I love this album and this song is my absolute favorite out of all of them. The music video with this is so well thought out in my opinion and I've already bought your album from iTunes but I just wanted to say I appreciate these songs

Today it has been exactly three years. How time flies.

I was talking to someone the other day and I couldnt remember the name of this song for the life of me. I think I've had too much Hallucina-puff Memory Gas.

I'm fucking dead I was losing my shit over this music video (still am; it's so good y'all) and then I realized that Nate was playing the rick and morty balloon pop game (Jerry's game)

I love how Nate's getting into more high production videos, as much as I love his old videos, the ones that tell stories and have amazing effects are really cool!

I like how the glitch at the start was foreshadowing for Nate’s brain damage/death scene and that shows how smart he is

After downloading the album and prying myself away from StopRewind long enough to hear the rest of it, this was the second song I became obsessed with. This video is pretty amazing too. Time to watch it again.

The worst part about the intro, was the fact that I was like “Sign me up!” And then the song started and I am like oh... it’s part of the song, lol. Still another amazing song

Wow, this video was a lot deeper than I expected it to be. You weren't kidding when you said the production value of your music videos has increased, this was amazing! I could see a lot of the different techniques used here as well to make it seem that much better and it does a really great job making this a really memorable video! I find it hard after a lot of time to actually remember what music videos go with what songs, as I listen to a lot of music, but I think this one will always stick out! Keep up the awesome work Nate & crew!
