Look up "Jumping the Shark." It's the original song that Nate wrote years ago. It didn't make it onto fun.'s Aim and Ignite album but there's video of it live. It's beautiful.

How could one version be better then the other? Nate Ruess is very talented and does a great job with this song, but by saying this is better then the version with Eminem would be liking something that is incomplete. Both parts to Headlights are needed to express the way the piece was intended to be heard.

I like it when he says "I guess we are who we are" the first time. But I don't like it as much at the end where it's more quiet and slow (Plus he's my favorate singer ever!!😍🎤)

Even when i like Nate's work on this song, I got to say this..... " This is an Eminem song" actually one of the most emotional songs on his career because is dealing with something taht have been killing him since the very begin of His success which is the bond with his mom Debbie Mathers !!! so, this song without the Eminem part may sound kind of cool but meaningless like a bunch of crap that i have heard on the radio... nice beats but music without heart !!! .. this one have a great voice and interpretation but is meaningless and I do want more from an artist like Nate, that's why I'm sure he will never sing this song by himself on a show !

+Carlos Colunga Interestingly, the song was originally called "Jumping the Shark", and it was written by Nate. The Eminem parts were added later on, but you can find the original somewhere on KZread. It was a heart wrenching song originally, and I'm glad it eventually found its way to release, in one form or another.

But if I would change something from my original comment is " Headlights is an amazing song adaptedt o Eminem's life" and Jumping the shark is an awesome job by Nate... this edition is meaningless " .... and as you said... I'm glad this song have found its way to release...
