Love Traylor. She and Tony have such good chemistry. She has the most adorable giggle.

I like Traylor very much, she gives Natalie Teeger such an adorable character. I believe Traylor Howard herself is adorable, so she can portray Natalie Teeger with ease.

I absolutely love natalie. She and monk are perfect for the show. Thank you.

Monk is a great example that TV can still be done right if they really try.

The only reason it wasn't continued for another season was the cost$$ for each episode. However compared to new 1 hr shows the set storyline on every Monk episode was so superior there is no comparison. It is always obvious when a series regular cast actually likes each other. Plus Monk had great guest stars. Imo I'd take 1 Monk epi for 3 in 2023. Luckily I can watch it 5x's a week on Canada's VisionTV😊

Natalie’s laugh is the best ❤️

I will say that Traylor gave the show a very different dynamic than Bitty Scram gave

Monk is one of my favorite shows! My husband and I love watching older TV shows and we have been through Columbo, Murder She Wrote, Rockford Files, ... the list goes on and on... Well last year we were running out of shows and I had to beg him to give Monk a try... I had watched it all before years ago when it aired and told him it was an awesome show... At first he was like no I don't think I would like it... After begging for days I said just watch the first episode and if you don't like it we won't watch it anymore... Needless to say he was laughing in the first 5 minutes and we watched an episode or 2 every evening until we finished the series... Thinking back I can remember him always asking... Does he get to become a cop again, does he find out who killed Trudy? The best thing I can remember my husband saying as we were getting to the very end was that he was going to actually miss watching Monk! My response was I know me too, as I smiled! :)

I like Sharona & I like Natalie

Man it was so heartwarming to find this

I love Mr. Monk and I love Natalie because she also loves Mr. Monk. She gets that he is as nutty as a fruit cake but she likes him anyway. When Bitty Schram played Sharona, she gave off vibes that she really looked down on Monk and thought she was better than him and didn't much like him. That made me glad when she was replaced because I like the way Traylor plays his assistant a lot better. This is one of my all-time favorite shows.

I have the same feeling. But it is not fair to compare the actresses this way. It was the writers who made the switch from nurse to assistant. Even Traylor developed OCD after working with "recovered"Monk. Imaging how cringy to watch the early episodes.

Traylor gave up acting not long after Monk ended to raise her family. She gave birth to her son in Season 5. Many likely remember her wearing a full length coat( in San Fran humidity) or carrying that huge bag in front of her in every epi in later mths of her pregnancy.

Much prefer Sharona but grew to like Natalie a lot more as time went on. They started to find who she was and made her a bit more interesting in some ways.

I'm not taking anything away from Bitty. She is a great actor. But Traylor has a deadpan quality that perfectly suits Tony. Bitty, in my mind, gave too much back to Tony in their scenes. Traylor has the ability to give almost nothing. In her first episode, I actually didn't know who she was and the way she acted was the most natural performance I've ever seen. I didn't even think she had acted before. She is perfect.

Natalie made the show better. The show was always good but she gave it a more light hearted tone. Sharon was so mean and rough around the edges.

I really like Traylor Howard. I watched her in “Boston Commons” and “Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place”. She does a great job on “Monk”. The first episodes of Monk that I watched were with her. When I finally saw the episodes with Bitty Schram I was surprised that I liked her “Sharona” also. Different characters but both very enjoyable. I wish for a few new episodes with the entire cast. It’s still better than most new shows.

I had completely forgotten about TGAG&PP. I don’t know if I watched very many episodes but I do remember the pizza place closed down and it was just “Two Guys & A Girl”.

Monk was a great show! I would have loved to see what would've happened had Monk and Columbo ever met. That would have been hilarious!

I love Natalie as a character! (Fun fact: My name is Natalie too!) But personally, Sharona will always hold a special place in my heart. I loved her sassy and bossy attitude, but don't get me wrong, Natalie is great too! This is just my opinion as a 12 year old 💕

Traylor/Teeger: she's why I watched the show!

I used to know a girl who looked and acted just like this. She was the drummer in a band I was playing in.

wow, check out Season 5, last episode, #16, with 5:10 left: a totally pregnant Traylor Howard. They wrote the show so she hardly shows up, and she is sitting and so on to hide how obviously pregnant she is. Had a nice baby boy soon after!

I hope that they bring this show back!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,JACK!!

Natalie replaced Sharona because Bitty Schram (the actress who portrayed Sharona) quit the show due to contract disputes.

I liked Natalie..but Sharona was always special..i think Sharona cared for Monk than Natalie did....Sharona called him Adrian and Natalie called him Mr Monk..

She‘s so cute when she‘s laughing and Bitty/Sharona is cute when she‘s scared idk why lol

Natilie saved the show in a difficult time and gave it the chance to run to completion for 6 more years. Sharona was written so mean and Benji as well... Julie and Natilie became his family

She reminds me of Tracy Bivens a girl I grew up with in Phoenix,AZ in the 70's. I used to make her laugh like CrAzYYYY!! I now have over 1600 of my SHARPS comics & I want to do more Stand up comedy in Vegas but no one will run a comedy open mic night because of stupid Covid!!

I'd say it has been an intensely smart Covid, much like Monk himself. Perhaps more so; the actor, like moi, was struck down for three weeks by it. No complaints my end, when you get past 50 it can so easily be fatal.

I think I liked Shorona better than Natalie but it's hard to say. They were both great!

I miss them all. I miss the world when it was 😷less. Suck it up, Buttercup. ikr? Things will get better. We haven't run out of wipes. Monk: Yet.

Still watch and over again I felt Natalie and monk had a great chemistry. Worker boss. She didn't baby him. I thought they worked great. I loved monks expression that ex cop monk never smiled again. That wasn't true I love that smirk in his face his smile when he solved a case . When he would just look at someone he was adorable deserved every award he got. I felt his first assistant it didn't fit. I know it was the writers but every case that she got a guy her guy is all she worried about I like how Munk cares about Natalie what gross things even we would go omg. He was a runner his life you can tell he runs fast. He took something else bc when he fighting you can tell he knows .what he's doing its right love this serious and wings too but monk is always #1

Both gals totally diffTrent but totally great

I preferred Natalie to Sharona. She had a good vibe with Mr Monk, understood and admired him. I was even hoping they would get married in the finale.

I would have liked to still keep sherona in the show. Like when Natalie has to under cover teamed up with sherona. Basically both part time. The situations that could come from that would have been funny

Monk looks a lot like Robert Downey jr. same eyes.

The let Bitty go because they didn't want to pay her more. I believe she deserved more money. I really love Natalie and she was a good replacement but I loved Sharona

03:40 and that's why I enjoyed watching Natalie Teeger so much more interacting with Monk. She was having fun with him but never at his expense. Other than Sharona who always seemed so condescending. I don't know if this was scripted or if it was Bitty Schrams decision to kinda make him a laughing stock.

There is a scene, I think it's in the episode with the human statue, where Randy practices standing really still, and Natalie challenges him by sticking pencils in his nose. I thought that was hilariously adorable 😆

Sharona was sooo much better than Natalie. Don't get me wrong I didn't mind Natalie but Sharona was way better at knowing how to not coddle Adrian and challenging him to face his phobias. Natalie mostly just babied and enabled him.

I felt that way at first but as time went on Natalie got a backbone.. LOL :) One of my favorite episodes is when she gave him the surprise Bday party... The dumpster was opened and she said... Gotcha! :)

How embarrassing it would be to have the first name Trailer, even if you spell it a fancy way. Maybe her name helps Traylor Howard get work for movie preview voiceovers, though.

@Delaney Rose Because only a single mother would understand the kind of care Mr. Monk needed. Also, their children were older, pretty much self-sufficient and allowed these women to devote more time (that he desperately needed) to Mr. Monk.

why did they end with season 8 , they should do like more from Season 9 - Season 19. where Adrian Monk is now back on the case from Square One where he find out that there is A new terrorist organization known as Death Thunder Ghost where Andrei Silvestro Makarovich - a new adversary of Adrian Monk kidnaps Julie Teeger and Molly Evans (after coming home from the movie theaters ) - taking the two girls to his hideout in san francisco . however Adrian Monk discovers that this new adversary of his is linked between every single villain he had arrested and put behind bars and is the man whom Ethan Rickover and Dale J. Biederbeck III who also hired to kill Trudy and kidnap her daughter and Natalie Teeger's daughter as a revenge for foiling their plans once and for all . where Andrei Silvestro Makarovich had begun brainwashing Julie Teeger - by testing his mind control on her .

Natalie is good and all, but I like Sharona better. Natalie is an assistant, but Sharona is his nurse, she has an authority over him. Additionally, her knowledge can be a help. His craziness drives me crazy sometimes, and Sharona being mean easies me. And I think Sharona loves Monk, just in a different way.

i actually hated her in her first few episodes cause she was a bitch to Monk, however i think the writers fixed her character after those first few fails.

Yeah, I think they were used to writing for Sharona and weren't completely sure at first what to do with Natalie. I think they quickly found out that both Traylor and the Natalie character worked better as a more caring and gentle character, so they started writing her that way and the relationship bloomed.

I loved Natalie, but what didn't make sense was that she kept bouncing from job to job before she met Monk, and now she's able to last more than a week with Monk?

It actually makes perfect sense. She needed someone humane but quirky to stick around so that regular work does not become a soul crushing chore. And Monk provided the perfect environment. I dont really remember this show a lot but thats the reason for I guess.

The character of Natalie was far better than the character of Sharona. Sharona was winy, a bit dumb, and belitteled him frequently like a toddler. Natalie is a smart woman, and a far better match with Monk. She never lost her respect for him, always called him mr Monk.

I do not like Sharona at all. 🙅🏼‍♀️ I can barely get thru the episodes. I’m glad she was replaced. Natalie cares a bunch more for Monk than she did. 🥰 I am #teamnatalie

Traylor was the reason I got addicted to the show. I didn't like sharona, her personality was offputting. Natalie was perfect for the role, plus she's sexy as hell when they let her wear Jean's or fitted shirts. Wish she was in more shows

I stopped watching the show when Natalie came on. I tried so hard to like her. Even the plots weren't as good after Sharona left. I miss Benji over the snobby daughter of Natalie. This is my opinion so no hate here.
