To many of us, Natalie was already back then the renowned american treasure she would later become known as. Her integrity has remained intact as a songwriter, and her beautiful voice is singular & unlike any other.

I've been singing your songs for decades. I remember requesting and waiting for more songs to be released in karaoke version so I can share your message. Everyone knows and loves your songs. Thank you for your brilliant heart and mind. I am singing about me when I sing your songs.

She never wanted to be the queen, or commercial spokesperson, or just keep trotting out the same stuff every two or three years. Just Natalie singing meaningful songs. I do wish today's female singers would cover her and the Maniacs more.

If you’ve ever taken care of a beloved, aging parent, who is challenged by declining health and increasing physical difficulties, Ms. Merchant and Mr. Drew’s simple, yet extremely profound song takes on an especially personal meaning.

@@dookdawg214 well, I think she has aged well. She's real, her spirit carries her so well. She is a beautiful older woman. ...we've all aged. 10k maniacs were first wave american indie-alternative pioneers, self releasing their first records before signing to a major label. Natalie was always more talented than you'd expect as the band always won over any lucky new listener with their great songs.
