A little bit late answer but the singer behind zoé is Denise Gutierrez and she has a band call "hello seahorse" my top 3 it's "bestia", "No es que no te quiera " and "Un año quebrado". If you want to listen more about her I recommend you one of those. I just recently discovered Natalia Lafourcade as well on my third trip to Mexico last June. Hasta La Raiz was playing on the radio while I was on a cab and I immediately looked it up thru Soundhound. And now I can't stop listening to her songs everyday. She instantly became my favorite Mexican singer/songwriter and is probably one of the best talents to come out of Mexico. She's already one the greats mexican singers, she's just sick and so outspoken and very representative of our country from her music to her personality so humble, truthfull and real. "lo que construimos" is her best song

I heard one of her interviews and she said that she wrote this song as a love song to Mexico. The name is To the Root meaning that she carries her country with her down to the root, not matter how far she goes it will always be a part of her. I like how she also added the beat of a traditional style of music in Mexico called huapangos. This is one of my favorite songs ever, it makes me happy.
