I have Pluto in my 4th house, and my mom left when I was 2. She was mentally ill and was very random with seeing me. My grandmother raised me, and she was very protective of me and controlling. My dad was there but he might as well have not been. I left the house at the age of 15 and have been on my own since, I’m 52 now

I have Pluto in my 4th. I was adopted at birth, my mom was very abusive, physically when I was little and then more emotional and psychologically later. They couldn’t have children so they adopted me but then had my brother 2 years later who was born with cerebral palsy. As my dad worked all of the time and my mom was basically disabled I was my brother’s caretaker and wasn’t allowed to leave very much. Remember how I said my dad was working a lot, well it came out later in life that he was always losing his job due to sexual harassment or misconduct. This led to much financial instability and even more conflict at home. I adored my dad growing up but turns out my dad was basically the cause of a lot of my suffering at the hands of my mom. He was not only inappropriate at work but with family members and neighbors. I never knew what was going on but they were always fighting. Life growing up was very hard and I’m absolutely shaped my it. I struggle with mental issues and addiction subsequently but I work really hard to overcome.

Oof, this hit home. My parents are very secretive...I was a 'rainbow' baby, had an older brother who died at birth..grew up walking around in pins and needles, there was always this feeling of annoyance, irritation, and anger between my parents and zero love. I know nothing about my dad's side, my mom was abandoned by her mother as a child, didn't know her father...childhood trauma i'm still working on.

My daughter has Pluto in the 4th house and her dad was abusive and mentally unstable. He was addicted to drugs as well. I left him. Thankfully he never asks to see her and does not reach out because he had such a negative impact on us. We are still healing from him. it is for the best. It’s been about 5 years since and she has been doing so much better and we are healing since we left. I think since knowing this is her placement and the fact I study astrology it gives a better perspective of how abstract the meaning of the placements can be.

Pluto Leo 29*/ 4 H. My Sun and Moon in Taurus/12 H, Gemini Asc square Pluto. Raised military with healthy dose of father's combat veteran's PTSD. I got the hell out at 17 yrs. Father verbally, physically and emotionally abusively. Stuff occurred was always swept under rug, never addressed. So I'm into confrontations for understanding. Mom rode our azz like a Drill Instructor( control). I was parenthesized very early on. I created my own security, I own my home. Death of my husband of 4 yrs blew my mind. It took a whole Saturn cycle to heal from that loss. I've always enjoyed helping others. Don't want others to hurt.

When my parents were older they shared with me their childhood traumas. I was angry at my mother for many years and I listened to her anyways , I understood why she was like that and why she treated me the way she did, it was really healing and things are much better now, not perfect, but way better.

i agree but i needed to get this out. I dont care about the vultures. I know they are stalking everything i say and post but i dont care. I know who they are. Thats what intimidates them. woman w/Rx Pluto in 4H natal.

I have this placement. My home was full of tension. We walked around on eggshells mostly the whole time. My mom's psychological abuse led to her being irratically angry and emotionally controlling. She wore the pants in the house. My older sister also has borderline personality disorder which impelled her to be mentally abusive to all of the family throughout my childhood. It SUCKED! Good news, I've processed all of it, I've done the inner work, I'm free and grateful for the good parts and forgiving of the painful parts. I've broken the generational cycle too. @lemurianchick Thanks for asking. I've had no therapy or energy work, mostly because of financial restrictions, but those are great routes for healing, no doubt. For me, it started with a deep dive into my birth chart and searching for answers to my own behavior and emotional patterns. This started the process for me about 4 years ago and since then I have addressed my emotional turmoil with just relentless, compassionate self reflection taking a look at my relationships and life and seeing the web I'd been caught in and have slowly been able to release myself from the traumas of childhood as well as self imposed traumas. ALOT of forgiveness for my family and also for myself has occurred. I went through the dark night of the soul, taking an honest inventory of myself and taking responsibility for my role in making my reality rather than staying in victim mode. It's like I got turned right side in after being turned inside out. I'm still getting familiar with the new me. The me that isn't codependent in unhealthy ways. The me that values my feelings and my experiences. The me that is not self-destructive but rather values and nurtures myself and my potential. Believe me, this has been a tough journey. But I got here. I'm almost unrecognizable to myself. And I'm not in any new relationships yet, after years of isolation and introspection. But I believe I will be blessed with new relationships soon and know for certain that It's a better Angela entering into them. In my birth chart, I have a big stellium in Aries, and I've also been confronting the energies of Chiron return, which for me entails a very tricky path to stepping into my power among other things. I guess the work may never be done. But I have a very independent nature, so that might be part of why I didn't go the therapy route. But I must acknowledge all of the wonderful lightseers and astrologers and tarot readers who have helped guide me spiritually. Their guidance, giving me hope and helping me feel strong, has helped me every step of the way, and I do consider it to be 'energy work'. And people like you continue to be supportive to me. I do my own work in the community as a paraeducator in k-5 schools. I am trying to make contributions and be giving with my energy in my community in positive ways. Thank you again! I read that for females the 4th house is the father, and for males it's the mother. But i think it's up to your own interpretation. I have Scorpio on the 4th house cusp, Pluto in the 4th, and Chiron in the 4th. My mother is very secretive, but my dad is the one I'm truly afraid of and the one who has caused me the most pain. Home was never a haven for me...

Thank you, Emily! I have found something similar with Mars and Venus and gender. For women, look at the Mars sign for their "type" (attraction). However, as a Sun in Sagittarius w/Mars in Capricorn, I am NOT attracted to button-down men. My Venus is in Aquarius and I am much more attracted to Bohemian (hippie) types and eccentric people. So I think that it's not so much gender as masculine or feminine Sun signs. Same w/this placement.

my sperm donor was not around so i consider 4H as my mother or the woman who raised me. A very strict woman who raised me with christian values and kept me in churches most of my young life. Im a mature single n unarrached woman now and i make my own decisions. Thank Jesus.

Im healing my heartbreak from mother and absent father and heartbreak from guys in general as an older woman. Hazy memories of sexual trauma, mother never opened up about her childhood, definitely can describe the tension btw my parents as being thick enough to cut with a knife

have a strange friendship with a crush who has this placement. and i tell you I could feel it immediately. within a couple of hours of our first chat, he tells me about his mom, something about her nice house and how she lives elsewhere with her man? and he references her a LOT. i'm like k, something is def up with that, and when I rolled my eyes one time when he began a sentence with "my mom.." he noticed immediately and called me out on it. i know it'll probably all come out eventually, if we continue to run into each other, but yeah, i think he needs a lot of help that he won't ever get.

Well...is he a Cancer? They tend to be a mama's boy but I don't know if it's necessarily a bad thing that he's very close to her. A guy close to his mom might be well-adjusted. You would have to look for other red flags.

She probably neglected him and chose men over him while he was young and sadly has mommy issues. He will probably be looking for a nurturing woman that can provide him with the care he never got as a child. He should seek a healing spiritual journey or therapy. I know have a better understanding of this placement. I am still healing from childhood and in healthy place. I also work in social services.

i have a 4H pluto, leo sun, moon + mercury all in 12H. i have problems with both parents but live with my dad. my mother has never been scary or exhibited unstable levels of anger like my dad, but she was extremely emotionally manipulative and neglectful through childhood. also showed signs of mental illness and delusions, obsessive over people, idolisation and pretty narcissistic. atm i'm very scared of my dad when he gets angry and feel physically scared and have to hide - but don't trust my mother either it's a shit situation. i have a moon trine pluto as well dkofeofk

Yes. And you know this is for those with the Natal placement, I assume. Not everyone will have Pluto transiting their 4th house in their lifetime because it's such a long transit through one sign. So consider yourself lucky to work through these deeply-rooted issues!

ty. this resonated. As a child, lot of secrets in my family. Birth mother was very tight-lipped and told me nothing about other parent. Call it secretive, trying to protect me from my sperm donor (because she omitted his name from my birth certificate) or playing God (by giving me away after birth). Older siblings didnt tell me anything either and they all knew their fathers (4 older girls, 1 boy). I always felt like the odd man out because of this and even tho parents are not alive now, I still feel like the odd man out when im in a crowd of people. Single woman w/Pluto in 4 house natal. Ty for this video. I dont find comfort from the saying "what kills u only makes u stronger" because ive always felt that there are those that would like to physically kill me, If they cant kill me because i dont be around them, then they will "kill" my positive spirit by being negative or toxic if i stay around them too long. Got mars, pluto, chiron & lilith in the 4th house. Had to go to foster care when i was 2 years old cause my father tortured me with burning cigarettes on my chest and my mother neglected me in the household to the point we were crawling for food as a baby. I lost memory of this but the fear stayed in my body, the only way i found out about this is that the foster care told me what happened. I still got no memory of it, only scars

I think for me both parents, father verbally abusive, mom subtly bully/fake humility, pretends to be nice but fails lol, but I can say my whole family is abusive, narcissistic, manipulative. I trust no one, not even friends, I realized they become flying monkeys. I am alone as fuck and infantilized... wish me luck! I hooe their silly plans with me will not suceed. They treat me as if I was a toy. Nightmare 😕 they cannot do better, I get it, but at least they should back off and leave me alone to improve myself. I am tired and sick. Mom says father is the bad one, I am not sure anymore which one of them is worse 😅

Omg this gives me reassurance. I was looking up my daughter's chart and when I learned what pluto and mars was in the 4th. I was like wtf lol. I'm a single mom and me and my daughter are very close. Her father is very in an out and I left him when pregnant because he wasn't treating me right but I was like how is that accurate with her placement unless she will feel abandonment issues by him

Are you a mama bear? Pluto in the 4th could be a mom who fiercely loves her daughter. Is the father in the military? That's a possibility for Mars here.

I was molested by a neighbor for years my father was a narcissist my mother out of it asleep at the wheel

I have Pluto in the 4H making an out of sign square to Mars. I'm curious as to the reason the article proposed that the 4th house related to father. I have pluto in sagittarius in 4th. I know for a fact that my parents are not my guiding light. They don't seem to be the reason why I want to stay on this planet. If I could leave them and responsibilities behind without karmic backlash I would. I have three uranus squares so I know part of that feeling is associating responsibility with pain and earthly hell. Being a human is pretty uncomfortable and I'm happy I get to work on my body and mind as an adult. My mom is super distrustful she's a Taurus with a Capricorn signature she was very secretive growing up. She is a neat freak. She has said herself that she could be a tyrant. My dad emotionally abandoned us for a couple years of our lives. He's uncomfortable and depressing to be around. They are depressing to be around together, sometimes we have good times though. My mom literally told me once that I didn't need autonomy. Even though our relationship is getting better the more I grow older I still don't trust them with my emotions/experiences and I've been focusing on connecting with the universal mother and father( Jesus, mother Mary, God, the black Madonna, the goddess). I try to understand my human parents, and being kind to them is helpful for growth. It's just Enraging that while I'm teaching myself to forgive and Bridge with people. I rarely get energy like that from them

What is your Sun sign? The more you can see them as individuals apart from yourself and less about "they should be this and that for me" the better, IMO. When it makes you angry that they are not the way you need them to be, that is still a form of attachment. I don't know your age but if you are still in your 20s it's understandable that you are hooked into their lives at a higher level. I don't know why you think there would be karmic backlash for leaving them. Are they incapacitated? That's why I asked you your sign. If you feel enmeshed with them, you might consider lessening contact very gradually. Obviously I don't know your situation with them so my comment may not be relevant but if parents are not disabled, I personally feel that they are responsible for themselves. Obviously narcissists are manipulative and guilt adult children to keep them there. That's on you if you allow yourself to be manipulated.

@Ascension Astrology With Raina Moon I actually meant to say that I have the inclination to not only leave them behind but responsibilities in a general giving up depressive way. if I were to follow my impulsive feelings instead of coming from a more loving, thoughtful place I know it was cause unnecessary karmic effects. I did write this In a stream of consciousness, release of tension sorta way so I didn't check to see if I made sense. Excuse me. I'm a 22 yrs old. A gemini sun in the 9th with a stellium there Virgo ascendant, Capricorn moon in the 4th. Moon is sesquiquadrate to Venus in Taurus. Venus is conjunct Sun, Saturn, and Jupiter. Mercury(9th) and Mars (9th) are conjunct each other . Pluto Is opposing Mercury and Mars. Pluto is conjunct Chiron. Chiron is opposing Mars and Mercury. Uranus Is squaring off with venus(9th), Jupiter(8th), and saturn(8th) with a trine to Mercury. Neptune trine Sun and mars. Thankfully I am becoming a bit more grounded about expectations and in general, I do indeed the still get pessimistic and irritated from time to time. What I've investigated from my own chart is that I definitely need to learn to calm the mind. I am touched, and I appreciate that you cared to fully answer me and ask. I'm open if you have any suggestions.

😔 I remember when I was a freshman in high school the gym teacher was teaching us self-defense and said 1 out of 4 girls would be sexually abused. Even then I felt that number was low.
