Natacha Atlas musical journey began in the movement of Punk. A well traveled and eccentric character she ventured into an open space of cultural music from around the world.She was bilingual or the truth is she was really a "polyglot" the possession of such a gift was sharpened by her fascination with Middle Eastern Music.A difficult genre to aspire to it because of its intricate mathematics she rode the style with grace and integrity.With a belly dancing interest she managed to convince very conservative ears to accept her.With multiple albums and awards she continues to cut the wings and fly in a world which would not allow her had she not shown her love for the art.

I first discovered Natacha on a show called clip trip in 1999. It's a Canadian MTV like show. I purchased her CD later that year. My favorite songs by her is mistaneek and Mon amie la rose. She definitely is the Cleopatra of our time. I'm still listening to her 2022. 😎👍
