Nasi Dagang!
There was a debate raging about which Nasi Dagang is the best in Kuala Terengganu. In our minds there is no such thing as a 'better' Nasi Dagang, just a case of it being different, but equally good. While Nasi Dagang Atas Tol has a sweeter gravy and better presented, but we still thought Kak Pah's gravy held a slight edge in terms of authenticity of taste. It can be surmised from various opinions that my generation still prefer Kak Pah, while the younger set were inclined towards Atas Tol. Does it boil down to the 'sweet tooth' factor?
After the 14-hour spring cleaning of yesterday we slept in and awoke at 9:00am. An hour later we left the Airbnb and drove the short distance to Nasi Dagang Kak Pah. We then promptly ordered:
• 3 plates of Nasi Dagang Ikan Tongkol (Mackerel Tuna)
• 2 Iced Lemon Tea
• 1 hot Nescafe
for a grand total of only RM25.00 (approximately USD/EUR5).
