    ​@@sjdanthem,, yeah man, getting a looper will help you a lot... And if you haven't. Learn the CAGED system, and the associated pentatonic scales that go with each "Caged shape".. it will allow you to do what he's doing... And then once you do that, learn the 7th chords and then the suspended chords. And you'll be able to do what he's doing.

    I only discovered Uncle Larry in the last year or so and he never fails to impress the hell out of me. His creativity is off the charts! He effortlessly throws out chordal melodies the way most people just speak a sentence. I can only imagine that he has had a guitar in his hands, 20 hours a day, for the last 40 years. Watching and listening to him deconstruct his ideas is like watching someone explain "this is how you build a rainbow". Thank you Tom, and thank you Brett for sharing this.❤

    Brett Papa - you are the *best* at pulling the most out of our guitar heroes so we commoners can learn from them. This is a standout lesson (I'm a long time HomeSkooler) but it's only one of many examples of your amazing content. I also want to highlight the great "On My Sleeve" lessons that you produced with Mark Lettieri - recommended to anyone. It's so tasty, advanced in some ways but accessible. Mark's a great teacher, and you producing no doubt had a lot to do with that. Working through only a fraction of it made *everything else* in my playing easier and better - and who doesn't want to emulate Mark!? Thank you!!

    So refreshing to get a video about creating chord voices and melody. So many years of playing I have created my own roadblocks by playing everything the same way too much. It's all there if you want it to be and you open your imagination. Mind blown. Great video. Much appreciated.
