If anyone was wondering about the last clip because it ended too soon, at the end of the race, Rudd got shown the Black Flag instead of the Checkered Flag for spinning out Donnie Allison (which got spliced out of the clip here), while Allison is shown the checkered flag as soon as Rudd crossed the finish line. The closest we have seen this happen again was at the 2022 Indy Road Course race, where Ross Chastain cut a corner on the penultimate lap and was penalized 30 seconds after crossing the finish line.

@MMCS07 i’m just gonna say this cause I’ve probably said this one other time on one of your past videos in regards to spingate. 1. I was not a Jeff Gordon fan growing up (Tony Stewart). 2. I think the reason why Gordon got added was because there was TWO race fixing controversies in that race. Obviously, the big one was by Michael Waltrip Racing. However, the one incident that constantly gets overlooked by David Gilliand and Joey Logano. Radio communications seemed to suggest to NASCAR that Front Row officials asked Gilliland to slow down and give up a position to Logano in order to help Logano race his way into the Chase, in exchange for an undisclosed form of compensation. Logano passed Gilliland on the final restart. At the time, front row and Penske racing were considered technical partners as they both used ford cars and Roush Fenway Racing Powertrains. Neither front row, nor Penske was penalized in the standings however, both teams were put on probation for the remainder of that season. 3. Going back to the situation, if the only issue was the bowyer spinning on purpose. I agree with you that Gordon should have been added. However, because there was a second incident that constantly gets overlooked, that’s where I kinda understand why NASCAR did what they did

I thought it was right to allow Gordon even if it were to make a 13 competitor chase because at least 2 competitors and almost 4 teams cheated and Nascar had to do damage control at that point.

@@lunamelody2025 I agree it was the right call, I just get aggravated when people say “Gordon getting in was solely because of the three MWR drivers”. The Logano and Gilliand issue gets overlooked because neither driver received a major penalty.

As a Gordon fan since August, 1994....I was disappointed when NASCAR put him in the chase as #13.... When their was only 12 spots. I was thrilled at the time, but in hindsight.... I dunno. 🤷‍♂️ Anyway..... Literally the moment I posted this comment.... You started talking about it, lol!!!

This is just me personally, I wasn’t a Gordon fan growing up (Tony Stewart guy), I think the reason why he got added was because of also what happened between Joey Logano and David Gilliand because Joey was also fighting for a spot as well however this one gets overlooked due to MWR actions. Joey and David never got penalized.

Rudd spun Allison in turn 11 coming to the white flag. Rudd was penalized for “rough driving” and was shown the black flag instead of the checkered when they came back around. Allison was shown the checkered and awarded the win. Waddell Wilson said it best: “This is the durndest thing I’ve ever seen.”

I’m not a chase fan but at road courses bumper covers do not have to be attached. On the Kyle thing they shouldn’t have waited that long but it was a rule from the beginning of the season. You can’t put it on the grille only the ducts. It wasn’t made up. Just called poorly

The more I look at Hamlin's Talledage scenario, I can kinda understand the problem. I think there's a loophole that if drivers ahead of you are crashing or about to crash, you can go below the double yellow line to avoid them. But here's the snafu: Jones and Buescher didn't give Hamlin room at all, clear as day, and Hamlin had to go low to avoid them. However, Byron and Dibenedetto almost crashed as well, near the double yellow line. What Hamlin was doing is almost deemed legal because he was avoiding a potential crash that was near him. But, because Byron and Dibenedetto didn't crash, you could say Hamlin should be penalized as well. I hope Nascar does clarify this kind of loophole as Talledega is coming real soon.

Actually if you are forced below double yellow line a lot of times NASCAR will not call a penalty and there is none and if you force someone you may be called
