@@MoterSport33 No. The July Daytona race in 2015 ended at 3am. The Daytona 500 in 2012 ended at 1am. This is not a new thing and with a holiday tomorrow, there was legitimately no reason to not run it. I'm putting my bet on the network pulling the plug

If I was in charge of this sport I would do everything to make sure this race would be completed under green. Not have it end when theres not even 400 miles complete of a 600 mile race. Could've just had it finish tomorrow afternoon Nascar.

373 1/2 miles but who’s counting? Definitely not the shortest race of the year, but sure as heck not the longest not by a longshot absolute garbage these competition directors need to be absolutely thinking about their jobs for sure.

Watching Indy Car this season and man what a difference without stages. Indy car is a lot more enjoyable to watch with green flag pit stops.

Yeah not sure why they introduced stages other than for “stage points”, which are very stupid in and of themselves

Sucks that the main thing NASCAR has promoted this whole month; Kyle Larson running Double Duty didn’t get complete. Brutal.

Me and my wife along with a group of 25 or 30 went for almost 30 years and finally got tired of all the B,S. we had to deal with from CMS and Nascar the sport is in the crapper I pretty much gave upon it about 5 years ago but I still have a lot of good memories, but the fans got hosed for real this time!!!

Was at the race. NASCAR could have got this race going. They had 4 jet dryers sitting at the end of pit road not doing anything for over a hour after the little bit of rain stopped…

I agree. I also was there. The jet dryers made 4 passes on the front stretch and the track was dry. No more water was coming off the track. They definitely could have ran this race

Ditto. I don't think they ever planned to restart the race. They just wanted to keep us there to buy the overpriced food/drinks for another couple hours.

I sure was hoping to see him get his 2nd win of the season, but great job nonetheless.....a 2nd place finish and his 6th top 5 of the year!! 49 laps over half way and high humidity? Should have just run it, but I don’t think nascar wanted it to go into the morning. If it was one lap over halfway, nascar probably would have called the race too. Very disappointed in the race outcome on a very special race for many.

Why can’t they continue into the early morning?

What a disappointment after an incredible Indy 500. We should all be used to poor decision making and being let down by now though.

track was damn near dry they called it due to humidity.that is the reason CMS gave.

They could have postponed it to monday.

All that money n couldn’t wait out the weather n spend more time tryn to dry the track

Definitely NOT the greatest spectacle in racing.

So over NASCAR, every other Motorsport from at this level has practice time built in. I’m an old hand and was there for 2hr practice sessions to dial a car in. Now it’s computer BS from the shop. Sim racers excel here while old school guys struggle. If anyone honestly thinks the Earnhardts, Martins or Wallace’s from years ago would be competitive in the format, you are kidding yourselves

yesterday i watch the race and io m sleeping and wake up and the race is was cancel ? "Am I the only one who finds the noise that cars make on TV this year to be horrible? That kind of high-pitched, screeching sound, as if the cars are passing through a weird tube. I don't remember the cars making that kind of noise last year.

Should've run the last stage man. That was super lame to see the 20 get a rain win.

Remember when NASCAR took pride in trying to get the race in around the weather for the fans. Now you get a pointless 10 lap caution after 100 laps and then an even more pointless red flag at halfway when they know weather is coming only to call it 50 laps later. Wow. No amount of facepalms can convey the disappointment of seeing how NASCAR has completely self destructed over the last 20 years.
