This video has taken me back in time when I used to work for Nascar, the first race I saw at Daytona was the right after Richard Petty retired and the first race for Jeff Gordon at Daytona. Through my 16 years of working for Nascar, I saw many legends including Buddy Baker, Junior Johnson, Ray Parks, Jerry Cook, Bill France, Dale Earnhardt (all drivers of the 1992 - 2011). My last race at Daytona was the day Dale Earnhardt, sr. died. I really haven't watched too many races since then.

Thanks Jordan! NASCAR was one time a huge passion of mine. Even went to a race once! But I was an Earnhardt fan and when he died on the track it just broke my heart. I grew up watching the races on TV with my dad. RIP Dale senior!

I was saddened as well cause Mikey was one of my two fav drivers and how much it affected his life Kenny S. was my other fav and how sad it is that for the rest of his life he has that aweful memory of seeing Dale the way he was in the car take care

Hi Jordan, Current employer. You are correct that you're on a track. That section is called Glory Road. The exhibit below is called the Great Hall. You were standing on the embankment for Kansas and Richmond at 14', and that was Talladega at 33'. We change the cars every 3yrs. We had Alan K Hooters car on exhibit in 2019. That 76 ball is The Spotter Ball that's still active in Daytona and Talladega. Heritage Speedway is my favorite location because of all the history. You were in the Whelen Champions section where the original first trophies were Very awesome video!!

Jordan you may have noticed that truck that Bubba Wallace raced had a special paint scheme in tribute to the first Afro-American driver to compete in nascar and the first Afro- American driver to win a nascar race Wendell Scott. You may also have noticed the color of the truck was that familiar Petty Blue, that’s because the Richard Petty Family and Wendell Scott’s Family developed a lifelong Friendship. And Richard Petty used to help Wendell Scott out with racing equipment like tires and that special blend of paint that was known as Petty Blue. This was in the 60s in the Deep South at that. It really says a lot about the character of Richard Petty and his family.

Finally, I was able to watch the vlog. As a NASCAR fan, I really enjoyed your visit to the Hall of Fame. A place I've not visited yet. However your video has stoked my fire even more to visit. Also, if you want to visit a really cool museum, go to the Wood Brothers Racing Museum, in Stuart VA. Open Monday-Friday 9-12 & 1-4. Free. If you're lucky one of the owners might be there. The last time I visited, years ago, the owners wife took us on a personal tour. Love your vlogs, you keep making them, I'll keep watching.

Jordan if you are ever back around the old hometown you need to research Eldora Speedway. It's a dirt track where a lot of NASCAR legend got their start. I believe Tony Stewart still owns it. I have a family member who used to work pit there. He has a picture of Jeff Gordon's dirt car. Racing goes on every summer.that

I remember show car coming to Rose's department store in the 70s . We were waiting for the king to show up but could fly in because of rain. Me and my father were the last hanging around. the guy showing the car picked me up put me in car. I was like 5 he's talking to my father while I'm making engine noises jacking on the wheel. That would never happen today. Guy said The car was actually a race car ,not show car. it would be running in a couple of weeks 73 Dodge charger .
