They're getting there. North Wilkesboro and Rockingham both received a portion of an $40 million budget to restore the tracks over the past few years. Rockingham was in a little better shape than North Wilkesboro was, so hopefully it won't be too much longer and they'll at least get the trucks back there to start.

Larson is the man! Qualifies P5 at Indy. Heli, Plane, Heli, then starts in the back and moves up to 3rd. This after driving an IndyCar all week.

Nascar last weekend, then 1 week ago on Monday he flipped in a sprint car, then ran Indy for 6 straight days, then jumped in and finished 3rd (4th?) here. He likes to race lol There was no need for that Sprint car race but he did it.

I was a fan back in the early 2000's when he'd get booed loudly on a regular basis. Although, that crap he pulled on Hornaday in the Truck Series was unforgivable.

Love this track and am waiting for Rockingham, with fingers crossed. The 8 car, Lol then he takes out the 54. Ford recently seems to have flipped the switch. Good to see.

Bush left the barn door open a short track, you take advantage of every opportunity to advance. Bush was out of the groove on the highside and left a lane open.

As some new to watching nascar this year why is their only 20 racing just Cus the track is so small?

This was the All Star Race which is an annual exhibition race for 1 million dollars and not a part of the points season. Its structured a bit differently as well with each winner of the past year being invited, a fan voted competitor, and a few others who raced their way in with the “All Star Open” race earlier in the day to fill out the 20 car field. And with it not being a points race NASCAR tried something new with the 2 types of tires, with one set of the red soft tires as an option and more sets of yellow tires as a “standard” for the race. It’s fully optional to run and only pays money but it’s been a tradition in the sport for 40 years now and is likely going to stay for many to come. Hope this explains it well enough and it’s likely I forgot something or said something not 100% correctly but I do hope you got the concept at least.

Also, just as a side note, North Wilkesboro is larger than both Martinsville (0.526 miles) & Bristol (0.533 miles) with a length of 0.625 miles so that’s not a problem for the car count. Only the Clash at The Coliseum (also an exhibition race) had that issue as it was a quarter mile track built inside a stadium

The 2 best highlights were Joey winning and Dennis not winning.
