Ricky Craven and Kurt Busch at Darlington wasn’t even the last lap that made it so great. It was about the last 5 laps them swapping lead, doorin each other, bouncing off the wall and then the epic finish at the line

Maybe on a top 20 list. I'd add in Earnhart/B. Labonte's finish at Atlanta 2000 in there as well. Also, if Xfinity counts, the Darlington finish they had the day after the Busch/Craven finish was even crazier. And the finish at Michigan with KB blowing a tire, Suarez running out of gas, KB taking the lead back still with a blown tire, and then A. Dillon beating him back.

It’s plural because that refers to the “Top 10 last laps” not to the number of laps left in a race. And even so, both of the finishes I mentioned could still be brought up for best last lapS.

The MRN call on the Watkins Glen finish is much better than the television version. MRN knew the track was slick. T.V. didn't.

Watkins Glen should be #1. Both of those guys were on the edge of completely wrecking but kept it together for 3 ½ miles.

The fact that people have so many version of their top finishes just goes to show how bloody awesome NASCAR racing truly is .

Probably because there were 4 lead changes in the last lap and in Atlanta (2001) there wasn’t a lead change in the last lap

Smoke vs Hamlin at Sonoma 2016?

Both the 2013 and 2014 Auto Club finishes were incredible. The final 10 laps of Logano and Hamlin duking it out and wrecking each other was insane. And then the final restart the following year had a five wide pass for the lead. Incredible!

When the sport has been around for 70 years it's hard to do a top 10 of all time list.

The 1976 between David Pearson and Richard Petty in Daytona 500 that last few laps are spectacular!

I was at the Kentucky race and it was amazing to see in person. So much energy at the track that night.

Is it just me or when the Busch brothers have a battle with each other or someone else for a race win,they create exciting finishes?

There’s better options than a few of these more recent ones. 2001 EA Sports 500 was an epic last lap. 2005 Golden Corral 500, 2004 EA Sports 500. I could go on for eternity.

EA Sports 500 from 2001 , was incredible. The Winston 500 from 2000, was even better.

Daytona 500 in 07, Talladega in '10. Kinda crazy how many Kevin Harvick won

2016 Xfinity race at Autoclub. Kyle Busch blows a tire while leading, loses the lead to Daniel Suarez, who then later runs out of gas on the backstretch and Kyle takes the lead back with the blown tire to only lose the race off 4 to Austin Dillon. THAT is worthy of being on this list.

I agree with this list! Some very memorable racing from all of those.

Sorry, but, Kurt VS Kyle does not belong on this list... maybe top 30, like 28th.... and we all know it. It's just a hype-boost for recent events because of the lack of hypable recent events.

This year has produced great racing. Lots of Hype all year. Other than Pocono and Sonoma I can’t think of a bad race.

I think the problem is that NASCAR has had a few too many good last laps to fit everyone’s favorite into one top 10

This list can't decide whether it's "Top 10 Last Laps" or "Top 10 Photo Finishes".

I think Talladega 2000 when Earnhardt came from 19th to the lead should be number 1.

I say that b/c there is no sign of smoke down the backstretch and through turns 3 & 4. It reminded my of the old Charlotte races when Earnhardt would smoke the right rear in the turns.

Roval had just a stellar last few corners and Martinsville falls under the same as Bristol 95, 99.. A bumper to move the leader doesn't mean it's a great whole last lap. Darlington gets 1 because it was basically the final 5 laps.

Christopher Pettit at Martinsville they had Truex taking the lead having small contact when Logano then bumped him but still roval had a spin and then every turn Johnson got closer and closer until he spun in the chicane

I use to hate road coarse races back in the 90s and 00s but now with the state NASCAR is in, road coarse tracks produce the best racing there is. NASCAR needs to quit screwing with the aerodynamic packages and put the driving back in the driver's hands. Drivers and fans have been saying it for years yet NASCAR is slowly dying because of their stubbornness.
