I finally see
See what it all mean
Yeah
The feeling of the first time seeing your name on a flier
It just was yesterday picture that on the day you retire
And they still shocked and amazed I made it up higher
‘Cuz I came up with them hotheads that played with the fire
Product of the 80’s
Prada Milan store for the lady
I’m a carnivore constantly come with concepts to pay me
I’m responsible for they most cockiest behavior
My DNA in they G’d up ways, and they surveyin’
I showed ‘em my scrotum is golden
Rap game stomach was swollen
I left these bastards on your doorsteps
Behold em
Ideas come and go away but I already thought ‘em
So years later they still new when I go record ‘em
I done hooked up with a beast
Never stingy with the beats
Experimental accident records wind up killing the streets
Black and Proud shirts, white jesus pieces on cuban links
Civil war chick, yo, she black and white on Egyptian sheets
And I can see the jealousy
I think they really scared of me
Do what I do and let it be
And that’s the way I always been since I was 17
I finally see what this all really means
Did a double album when rap double albums was startin’
They bootlegged “I Am” an album I put my heart in
Nipsey met me to do a doc about it before he departed
He talked to Stoute about it too ‘cuz he was part of that project (yeah)
Back then we charted with the CDs and tapes
And I still come out the field
You either scrape or get scraped
You either in or out you rollin’ or you just in the way
What this all really means I had to reload the drake
80 years old I’m still gonna have a chain, a kilo it weigh
Speedos on the beach, my belly out when I land in Capri
Wearing black owned designer (uh)
Math on my mind (Ok)
It’s a while before I get there, almost past 49
I be on the block easy with a glass full of wine
Red Chrome Heart lenses to see I’m in my third prime
The Q-U-double E-N-S
Yall gonna need some EMS when we drop this and that’s a bet
The feeling of the first time seeing your name on a flier
It just was yesterday picture that on the day you retire
And they still shocked and amazed I made it up higher
‘Cuz I came up with them hotheads that play with the fire (it’s facts)
And I can see the jealousy
I think they really scared of me
Do what I do and let it be
And that’s the way I always been since I was 17
I finally see what this all really means
It’s everything
From the hard times
I finally know what this all really means
The bad times
Anthony Saleh we got a team
The better times
All mixed in between
Sunshine and rain
Yeah
Yeah
Tough people last, tough times don’t
Yeah
Tough people last, tough times don’t
Now I see

Nas didn't force this, he was born for this. He's been surrounded by jealousy but still got his way.
Nas is making a brother shed a thug tear down here. Tough people last, tough times don’t. 🤲🏾

@diggydub5720I disagree, on first listen I didn't really vibe with it but, the more I listen the more this album grows on me, I personally think it can be placed 3rd or 4th when ranked amongst these 5 albums, it's very good but, definitely not as good as Magic or KD3

I genuinely don’t understand how Nas isn’t undisputed. Like I legit mean that. This dude…. When he is in his bag, he’s absolutely unmatched, untouchable, and unfuckwitable . Barz.
This is arguably the best song on the album!
This track is it, beautiful. Glad he finally addressed the original IAM, maybe he might release the original next year for the 25th IAM anniversary 🔥

I just want to keep thanking Hit Boy for bringing this version of Nas out and sticking with him 🙏🙏🙏🙏 their run together is just magical to say the least. No other producer dedicated so much time and love for Nas. I’m just so mind blown 🤯 🤯
This is my favourite song of this whole great Album. Hip Hop lives as long as Nas is alive. What a way to celebrate hiphops 50th anniversary.
